I had some health issues this year, but I was always that mh wilds is close and I got to survive and that honestly kept me going. I'm grateful for mh for being the shining light in the darkness. Can't wait to play it with all of you guys. HAPPY HUNTING!

I have my own consiracy theory that the deeper into the Forbidden Lands we venture, the more "tampered" the monster start seeming; relics left behind by the civilization that built the Oilwell Basin, forgotten and left to their own devices. I also want to believe that the endemic life seen at 28:30 (lower right, to the right of the pillar in the back) is mechanical. Also PLEASE let the Black Flame be a new class of monster and not an Elder dragon

That would explain why Werner says what he says regarding the pump: He's a Smithy and he recognizes that the "Everforge" is a machine, and if he recognized that the control valves, relief valves, manual controls, etc... are broken it'll just contnue to perform its function until it is critically damaged. It will also start to reinforce the WHY undergirding the premise of the game: Why did the guild forbid anyone from accessing the Forbidden Lands for a thousand years? What interest does a monster hunting guild have in enacting such a restriction?

Shields Up, waiting Hunters! I wish us all the great year, better year, than the last! And I can't wait to play Monster Hunter Wilds - I'm building new PC for the last 6 months non-stop, with all my money, which isn't for rent or food, just to play this game in its peak form and performance 🥲 And, being one of those hunters, who are mainly concerned nowadays due to the Wilds roster and (especially) plot leak's, somewhat strange, controversial community balance changes and balance overall (between weapons, between hunter and monsters, starters in particular, etc.), I want to say, that if I'm usually very passionate in the discussions, its all due to me loving the franchise from the childhood. It was a niche game from where I'm from, only 2 people (counting me) from my surroundings knew about it, so it was something very personal and with which it was hard to share (people usually don't give a thing about something they can't see, feel, comprehend and so on). And imagine the contrast with the current times, where Monster Hunter as a franchise becoming the locomotive of action AAA industry, and many millions of people worldwide acknowledge its existence! We're standing at the door of the second revolution to the franchise, which is this time not a shy steps into the unknown - its damn leaps into the heights: giant budgets, breathtaking changes in the sessions flow, real accent on the plot (jester's toy, I'm telling ya)... Ofc I can't stay perfectly calm, when with all the parameters present we can really have a masterpiece of a game this time, even on the contrast with Worldborne. And I'm scared, that the potential can be whiffed, like a Great Sword's classique, and we still gonna have a reasonably great game, but with many flaws & drawbacks and so on, that couldn't be fixed after the launch really. Tho either way, I'll play this game, and I'll do it hard, full no-life mode on my vacation, prepared right for the launch 😈 Happy New Hunting, fellow guildlings! And a Happy New Year! 🥳🎄

From what I've seen, I think Wilds looks better than World. However, the fact that they made World look as good as it did on the hardware people had access to at the time was impressive. It feels like Wilds is a 10-20% fidelity boost at the cost of 200% the processing power. That said, I should fire up World on the new rig I built to play Wilds and see if it looks any better. I think there are textures I struggled to use before. And thanks for the content! Here's to a great 2025!

People have clearly forgotten what World looks like. It holds up really well for a 2018 game, but remember that it has really low res textures (PC had to get a HD texture pack and even then its weak), the characters look noticeably worse, the areas are much smaller. What's happening is multifold: People have honeyed memories of World, Wilds sometimes does not present itself in the best way due to wildly varying weather and Time of Day states, both games share the same aesthetic, and folks are not quite grasping the scale of Wilds' areas to World. From what we played in the beta there's also much more stuff running on the backend as the game is heavy on CPU usage.

The fact that there won't be any loading screens between locales and it's all seamless open world... with the changing weather, larger endemic life herds, even terrain deformation... It's no wonder it's so demanding.

@RicochetForce I was still impressed when I did the return to World. I think for me it was the attention to detail that really stood out, like the way the floura swayed in the Ancient Forest. The raw textures might not be the best ever, but I really felt the effort in the art style. It looked significantly better than Rise, but I hardly blame Rise due to the Switch limitations. Hoping Wilds accomplishes a similar thing, and gives me a few "wow" moments

Why is the water red? Likely because lala has red threads and the water reflects the colour when its sunny but when it rains the colour fades and she goes into hiding maybe having a weakness to water too like she slips over in the rain when she spins around

I have been feeling the same... 3000+ hours in World right now and 1000+ in Rise. I enjoyed the hell out of these games but it's over now. It's set it's course. Wilds will be a great experience for sure. It's 2 months away which isn't too bad. Maybe replay an older game. Try an emulator. Bingewatch a series. Stay strong brother.
