[Summary]
This is the story of Ruru before she meets a trainee witch in Ura Ura-Harajuku. A 15-year-old girl, Ruru is unsure of what she wants to do or what she likes. One day, she finds something she likes for the first time in her life. In a world filled with things she hates, she wishes to at least fill herself with what she likes.

The part where she snaps out of her fantasy and sees the dress was sold out is so relatable, like when you put something in the online basket and contemplate if you should buy it and when you decided to buy it suddenly it's gone haha. I'm so happy to see Artiswitch is releasing new things, I missed it so much.

Me too, Lolita fashion became my special interest even before I knew the name for it. I always loved Victorian era fashions and when I watched anime and saw characters that were inspired by Lolita fashion I fell in love. When I finally learned about the community and the many different kinds of Lolita it made my whole world brighter. I'm so happy to own a few dresses of my own and nothing brings me joy more than wearing Lolita

This made me think about the way i always felt devoid of purpose in my life, and how only the "extraordinary" gave purpose to my life for brief moments, just because it was a discovery, something new, a hedonistic feeling of pleasure. But then, i realized that even the things i achieved in my life, i don't care about them, i don't like them, they are not me, and even though i'm obligued to keep working, and maintain this "life" i have, i would rather just feel my aesthetic dream identity instead. I feel life is a constant struggle of meaning and purpose, but even though you can enter into some philosophy that gives you a rush on motivation, eventually the chaotic existence returns you to this state. Meaningless. Love this show.

I've been a few days thinking about Ruru's episode since I watched this anime in 2022 and rewatched it again last week. I think I finally understood what was Ruru's wish. I think her wish was to force herself to be always happy, even with things she hate. This is a reflection of japanese society, where they don't take care of mental health and illness like depression. This is call toxic positivity.
