Arguably the best Arcade Racing Game ever made. When people ask 'that question': "if you could have any arcade cab" etc... my answer is always a 2P sit down of this... or id settle for the original Rush/Alcatraz instead. The console ports are excellent but... I'd love some 2049se to come home to as well. I'd NEVER be off it though :-P They're quite common in the US but near non-existent here in the UK. Yes... we love RUSH too guys! Don't you go keeping it all for yourselves ;-)

As of right now audio is recorded externally, however once we come up with a method to be able to capture it directly we will switch over to that instead. Hope you guys like checking out track 7!

We used a line level converter with alligator clips into the stereo speaker wires going to the topper to get direct audio with our footage. There's a convenient connector next to the monitor to clip into without hacking up your wiring harness. Doesn't get the full surround, but the audio is actually pretty good.

So as far as the arcade car lineup goes, the Crusher and the Panther were TE exclusive. I also like how some Super GT paint jobs take away its wing while one Magnum paint job gives it a wing.

Rush was always one of the hypest and most intense racing game series (particularly Rush 2). This is the sort of arcade racing game that seems to be lost in this day and age. Guess the arcade version didn't have wings on the cars.

Yeah wings were added to the console version for good reason; they lacked certain aspects of the physics in the arcade. On normal and advanced handling in the arcade ver. the cars will correct their direction they are facing if you use a jump at an angle, this was removed in the console for some reason. Yeah dude rush 2 kicks ass, the devs behind that game also made tracks 6 and 7 in this one.

@@Frapskillar actually they took tha N64 port and boosted it to Dreamcast standards and used tha Dreamcast soundtrack and tha reason why i know it's a boosted buggy N64 emulation because look how tha actual Dreamcast map was more thinner than it's N64 counterpart, also was so buggy on details and sound quality on all tha Midway Arcade Treasures 3 ports which was disappointing -_-

If I'm not mistaken, Mission and Presidio were the ones originally exclusive to the home console ports. Given that their layouts in the home console ports seem to show an unusual preference for the wings, it's hard to imagine otherwise (which is really saying something, considering Metro's slopes).

@@BakkerSamuel One could argue that one version looks better than the others (assuming that you're not talking about the N64 version, which needed to sacrifice visuals for performance), but it's more of an issue of mechanics and content, which can make comparing the arcade line pretty difficult to the console line.

Alex K pretty sure TE is the Special Edition in arcade format. Stevie can maybe chime in? The TE were linked as a network for competition at one point IIRC

Special Edition is TE without the networking stuff. As for the Midway Tournament Network, it shut down years ago. Plus, TE used a T1 connection, and those were quite expensive.

If you're beyond Mame version 2.20 then you have to put the CHD files in a folder within the roms folder. These folders have to be named after the chd (sf2049se.chd goes inside mame oms\sf2049se) The zips have to be inside the roms folder (mame oms). If you still can't get it to work I can help you over text or in a call. I'm frequently online in the Team Rush Server(discord.gg/3sA5Pkd ).

Kevin Ortiz doesn't include any of those cars unfortunately. Wingey is the default song for this track, albeit some parts of the song are changed.

I did do the trainyard shortcut at 2:38. The only other subway shortcut I know of is leftover one from Presidio reverse in Dreamcast/N64.

I believe Tournament edition has an extra tourney mode in it and track 6/7 aren't accessible conventionally. Special edition just brings all of the TE content to the base game.

How do you get to the bridge that you drive under after the first checkpoint with all the coins?

I think you drive slowly to the left after the loop, not falling off is very difficult

@@Stevie2049 That does seem to be the case. Both ends lead to solid walls. I actually had a much harder time with the tube thing on the first track.

Gotta ask, did you capture video with a VGA Y Splitter and an upscaler?

TheMrMaynard Yeah I did. I forget what brand I used for the splitter but at one point I had to return it because the signal lost power this lost some brightness. If you want to capture something similar, make sure it has some sort of way to power it either through usb or something

@@Stevie2049 is it safe to use a Y splitter then into a OSSC? I'll look into a powered Y Splitter just in case. Next year is the year I finally get my Rush 2049 Cabinet, then upgrade to SE and maybe do some capturing/streaming .

Honestly I have no clue but I assume it wouldn't do any harm. My setup that I used in this video was powered y splitter, to powered VGA to HDMI converter, to hauppauge capture device, to OBS and I'm pretty sure this was the best picture quality I could get at the time. You're going to have so much fun with that machine once you get it, totally worth it if you have the room for it in my opinion. The only thing that sucks is that you can't get the extra paintjobs for the 8-ball car as they require a second cabinet.

Someone actually figured out how to play online through mame and I think even with legitimate cabinets, I believe. I don't remember specific details but I have seen images of it working.

Crazy Guy Stewart Tracks 4, 5, and 6, on console are tracks 5, 6, and 7 respectively albeit with minor changes. The arcade's track 4 is the Alcatraz track from previous entries.
