@@elliebeck6453 I was more of a jazz person in gradeschool too (alto sax) and I never gave up, so if you love it stick with it! Lots of grade schools and high schools need more jazz bone players!

I've been playing trumpet for 8 years now and I've decided I want to be a band director....in the past when it got hard I contemplated quitting but I pushed through and I'm so happy i did. I'll never regret continuing to play, but I would've regretted quitting for the rest of my life. If you love it, stick with it. If it gets hard, see if you CAN stick with it. There's nothing wrong with needing to quit, or falling out of love with it, but if you really love it and are facing challenges, try and push through! It's so rewarding to play now knowing the challenges I overcame while playing early on.
