@ 27:06 Lee takes the necklace from the waitress because it was the necklace he gave the little girl at the beginning of the movie. When they kidnapped her Sang probably took it and gave it to the waitress. It's the same reason why when Jackie Chan gets served tea in the restaurant he almost drinks it until he sees the necklace on the waitress, makes the connection, and doesn't drink the tea because he realizes the tea is probably poisoned (which it is).

Jackie Chan movies always has bloopers at the end, he got the idea from Hal Needham who made Smokey And The Bandit films and the two Cannonball Run movies that starred Jackie Chan back in 1981 and 1984 for the sequel. Would love to see your reactions to these comedies.

Jackie Chan estimates he has broken almost every bone in his body at some point doing stunts for his films. “I have a hole in my head, I have broken my back, broke my spine, my neck, my nose, my ankle, my chin, my cheekbones, my toes, and my forearm,” Chan admitted. He's 70 now.

10:05 "You know, at least they are [...] not sending them both away to chase some goose." 🤣🤣🤣 The expression is "sending them on a wild goose chase." Although the way you said it _should_ be fine, it sounds hilarious because, when you change it around, it now sounds like it should be interpreted literally rather than metaphorically.

@35:12 ''70 Million dollars have to hit hard '' Hey Amanda; Fun fact: Since the U.S. Treasury discontinued printing of the last 'high denomination' bills ($1,000 & $500 notes) in 1945, and began removing all notes @ this value in 1969; At the time of filming (1997/1998), the highest U.S. Dollar note in circulation is the $100 bill. $1 million Dollars in U.S. $100.00 weighs 22 lbs. (10 kg.) . $70 million Dollars weighs in @ roughly 1,540 lbs. (700 kg.) ...swinging it 1-handed too. ...other objects that weigh similar amounts: A 'Smart Fortwo, Smart Car', a LARGE polar bear, an adult (bull) moose, 2.35 Grand pianos, 179.06 U.S. Gallons (770 liters) of milk, 1,500 loaves of bread, 4,620 medium size apples...etc. Conclusion, Juntao = Thanos.
@VJP84646 ай бұрын
Tbf he wasn’t holding the whole $70 million, which is why we see Sang go to the room trying to get some of the remaining money before Carter shot him Juntao no doubt knew he could only carry so much and just wanted whatever was in one briefcase’ worth, which is still a lot Only so much would fit in a briefcase too

Nothing a lot of people, esp. younger people, will still know now more than 25 years later, but back when Rush Hour came out, Hong was just passed back to China after being under British administration for around 150 years. That was a pretty big topic in the news all around the world - and directly referenced at the beginning of the movie. And because it was a British colony, English was the official language in Hong Kong, so more or less everyone, and ofc officials like the police, spoke English. So Carters ignorance was even more obvious back than than it is now. :D

Jackie is famous for his bloopers and outtakes. His Hollywood work is mostly language flubs and the occasional missed stunt... in Hong Kong, the bloopers capture Jackie goofing off, breaking bones, and almost dying 🤕 (literally very close to death on Armour of God) His 90s work is easiest to jump into - Supercop, First Strike, Mr Nice Guy, Rumble in the Bronx, Operation Condor, and Who Am I are all good fun. For another take on Jackie + fast talker, try Shanghai Noon.
