They freaking played JACOBS LADDER!! And Camera Eye and Cygnus and Xanadu and 2112 all on the same night. His voice does not matter, a few technical missteps do not matter. This was the pinnacle. I mean they played JACOBS freaking LADDER and it was the best night ever.

Absolutely love this performance of Jacob's Ladder. Musically, lighting effects, just a well done masterpiece. I think Yes is the only other group that can take me places like Rush does.

At the time before the tour, there were online polls about which song should be brought back. This won in a landslide. They hadn’t played it since Exit. They said it was a real challenge to relearn after thirty years with the time changes and pauses. But oh boy, do they nail it! 🎉❤ And just in time.

Saw this tour twice and still kick myself for not clicking 'buy' when I had LA tickets on my screen the day they were first released. Who knew that LA was going to be their last show ever? 😞 Having seen every tour since Signals this was truly a great retrospective on their career. As a fan, I was able to ride back in time with them, remembering the first time I heard/saw each song and just appreciating all they had contributed to music (and me). Was it a perfect concert? No. There are parts of S&A, R30, and CA tours that were better. Was it friggin' awesome. Absolutely yes.

I was at the Forum show and the Irvine Meadows show 2 nights earlier. Also saw the Denver show.... 53 Rush shows on total for me. The first also being at the Forum in 1978. Cherry on top, I waited till 3am after the last show and met Alex before getting into his limo. What a nice guy!

Those laser lights going over my head on the floor section were unreal. Looked like a solid alien substance not “ light”. This was the most memorable part of the one show I attended that tour 🐾

When they played this in Dallas, Geddy admitted that he’d mistakenly introduced it on a previous show as “a song we’ve never played live before”. Considering it’d been thirty years since they’d played it, a forgivable oversight😂😂

Superb performance, superb. For some reason this song has never been among my favourites; can’t say exactly why. It is so, so great LIVE perfect in concert and I guess that is where I like it best. Cheers Justin.

Yeah, this was a ripping performance of one of their most virtuousic songs. Despite any issues they were having at the time, the stars aligned for this song. The guys should have been proud. I vaguely remember them playing this when I saw them at the United Center. It must have been awesome.

In one of the first shows when they played this, Geddy said they were going to play something they never played in concert before. Afterward, the fans were all "What do you mean? You played it on "Exit Stage Left"! Geddy said he was a bit gobsmacked and totally blanked out on that. Real first-world problems of having a couple dozen albums and 40-year public career.

Love the Vinnie-style improvised stuff Neil was doing in the 13/8 section, but he didn't play "my fill" (the one at around 5:50 on the studio recording)! 😄Did they truncate the section? I remember noticing this at the MSG show, as well. Great performance, regardless. Oh, and love that p-bass!

That ending really tests a Rush fan's air drumming skills. 😄 But yeah, just epic. Easily in my Rush Top 5, and one of the few songs where Rush met or even surpassed their prog rock heroes.

This is definitely one of the best Rush songs. Hands down. I really like the last three albums, some of the songs even more than the 70s stuff for the most part, but IMO Permanent Waves through Grace Under Pressure beats everything. No contest.

Permanent Waves is kind of like The Godfather, in that you don't skip around, you don't cherry pick, you sit the f down, shut the f up, and play the thing from beginning to end, because every second is utter greatness.

I often wonder if Rush had played Jacob's Ladder every other tour for the last 40 or so years...if fans would be, like, enough already with this long, repetitive song. I like Jacob's Ladder...but I think the rarity of it played into fans clamouring for it.
