I think I’ve figured out why NP has been. So overlooked all these years. After watching this version, ‘89, after watching a much more recent live version where I didnt notice until i saw ‘89 how much SLOWER they went in later video. The “Per(T)K? Lol.. It slowed NP down enough that in the later, you finally hear how amazingly complex and vast his work is. He does the work of two people; a drummer AND a percussionist, all in one. Back in the day, he was SO FAST your ear couldn’t even pick it all up! RIP Neil Peart. Thank You SO much for your contribution to this World! May Your family always know comfort in how much you are a Gift. Blessings.

Actually at about 2:08, Neil farted. Alex, overpowered by it, at 2:08, tries waving it off. Neil smirks and nods at 2:21, "yup that was me"! Alex proceeds away from the kit to the front of the stage. Geddy's like, "What's up with you two?"

Begin the day with a friendly voice A companion unobtrusive Plays that song that's so elusive And the magic music makes your morning mood Off on your way, hit the open road There is magic at your fingers For the Spirit ever lingers Undemanding contact in your happy solitude Invisible airwaves crackle with life Bright antenna bristle with the energy Emotional feedback on timeless wavelength Bearing a gift beyond price, almost free All this machinery making modern music Can still be open-hearted Not so coldly charted, it's really just a question Of your honesty, yeah, your honesty One likes to believe in the freedom of music But glittering prizes and endless compromises Shatter the illusion of integrity, yeah Invisible airwaves crackle with life Bright antenna bristle with the energy Emotional feedback on timeless wavelength Bearing a gift beyond price, almost free For the words of the profits were written on the studio wall Concert hall And echoes with the sound of salesmen.
