Shit, that was really good. You never realize how complicated some of these drum parts til you watch them.

Just incredible. Never could visualize the drum patterns very well on this song till now. Thanks.

That is what i call pure talent. Just amazing ! unbelievable cover. This is by far my best Rush song and it is so underrated. I am so glad you did that cover. It just shows how good Neil Peart's talent was and how good you are at rendering this cover. Keep on drumming!

Outstanding playing and equally impressive memorization of complex tracks. Sheds light on Peart's talent.

Sterling simply an outstanding job of a simple sounding yet amazingly complex rhythm! Neil would hate this, But God bless Neil Peart and his family! I miss his articulate craft more than you will ever know! Thank you sterling! Doc David SA Tex

was really hoping to see you play the bongo/tom part at the beginning. great job though.

Me too that's my favorite part. It's when the song really kicks in.
@nickavenoso78513 жыл бұрын
I think Neil overlapped 2 recordings on the studio version, because you can hear the main hi-hat pat under that concert tom pattern. So, he probably couldn’t play both at the same time. That was probably why he didn’t play it.
@shallex57443 жыл бұрын
@@nickavenoso7851 yes. live Neil plays the tom part, and plays quarter notes with the hi hat pedal on the '&' of the beats to get a little bit of the hi hat action back in there
@nickavenoso7851 Жыл бұрын
@@shallex5744Yes. As a drummer when I practice this song I play the hi-hat part because I can’t do both at the same time. I also meant to say overdubbed not overlapped.

@@kisterdrums Neil triggers them with a pad live I believe. And, yes he couldn’t possibly play those two parts over each other. You are correct. It’s an overdub.

You missed a lot of tom work in the beginning nice job on the rest
@nickavenoso7851 Жыл бұрын
The bongo part is an overdub and he couldn’t have played them both at the same time. I’m pretty sure Neil used triggers for it live.
@reallife72354 жыл бұрын
Very good. Really. That intro is my favorite drum riff for any genre of music. However, agreed on the toms as pointed out by others and there is a lack of mad dog intensity that you always see with Neil. No quite enough heart there. Body language shows.
