I'm on server 68 and I'm already close to unlocking tier 5 and I did that free to play, as much as people spend lots of money on heroes and empire coins I have to say resource gathering is really fair and free to play, just have 4 marches and keep gathering resources 24/7

Leonidas, Jean of arc, and Barbarossa is a very good lineup Darius is for gathering ideally with commander Dial Chan , then Darius and Cleopatra, f2p gathering can be Darius, Cleopatra and Leo, or baldassi, any epic gathering unit
