Another example of how this game is broken, most games offer these types of shard events every 2 weeks, but aoem they have to make all legendary heroes hard to max lol.

It's not worth it it even if he is five star he is a b tier hero at best , if you want him for early game fine , but after couple of months you would get smoked if you have him in your march I recommend you 1) for swordmen run (Miyamoto, Tribuwana,Yodit) you can use early game options for now but that's best you can do warrior swordmen. 2) Warrior Pikemen: (Richard, Leonidas, Boudica) you can use whatever fits early game. 3) Warrior Archers which is the best and most powerful in current Meta : (Mulan, Bellevue,Atila) be sure to have Mulan and Atila 4) Cavalry : (Lubu,Guvangyu, Atila) this one is only going to gett better with Lubu Reminder : if you don't have one of these don't expect beating Whales they're not so expensive all of them can be unlocked with 1 dollar and with 3 dollar you can 1 star them and if you have no money you can upgrade them in the future with Universal hero medals but be sure to have them in your pocket some of them might not return and if you still insist on spending no money at all I recommend you swordmen marshalls which all three of them are unlockable and upgradable through Tavern (Hideyoshi, Nobunaga, Iyeyasu) be sure to have them in this exact order and also change civilization to Japan to have 5 percent or 10 percent more swordmen damage, they're japanese after all , btw fun fact Nobunaga was Hideyoshi and Iyeyasu's commander and all three became emperor of Japan

Not only do you only get one chest, but the counter is only ticked once no matter the barb event (ie, MGE, etc) and no matter the number of marches you use. It's complete opposite or ROK.

I got my king derrick to 4+1/5 stars with all stamina points(f2p generated) spent on barbs and full daily rewards of black banner and giant's alliance rewards for every day of the event and one more after it ended. I still need ~220 to max him which is about a week more of alliance rewards (30 medals per day) It seems to me that it would require incredible coordination from an alliance to achieve that for most of its members. I'm very interested to see if your alliance makes it. Btw HUGE tip for f2p and p2w alike for mightiest governor: save all your medals and star up your heroes on the second day of mighiest governor for tons of points. Also use the hero reset event on your legendary hero with the most medals to get even more. It'll give a biiiig advantage in the event :)

you can also get derrick coins through exploration tasks. these are the green one where you usually send to commanders on a mission and they're gone for some minutes. you find them either in the window with your daily tasks or through the little compass needle above your big button for entering and leaving your settlement

Not sure whether this was what was meant. But you only get the statues for rallies you launch, when joining, I very rarely get any, it's a 1/5 ish return. But launching, I always get 1

Maxing him for Free is a bold claim, expeically as the method you used involves spending money to get enough stamina. You can certainly get to 4 stars without paying anything. I know, I'm nitpicking Can't say that I understand the point of no simultaneous rallies either, but there we are. All good and wise advice
