We drove from Wollongong to brisbane and we left on 24ltr and by the time i got to brissy we got 13.4l per 100kms and then we continued to Coulandra ... We didn't have have a van but ... The longer you drive non stop the better the economy and if you get a throttle contoller and put it on economy mode 3 or 4 you will save even more fuel ...

It's not OK to remove your head restraint just to feed or entertain your baby Your also breaking another ADR (ADR 14 Rear Vision Mirrors). You need towing mirrors, don't care weather you think you can see without them, that's the law. It is required by law in Australia if you are towing anything wider than your vehicle then towing mirrors are required. There is a legal requirement for you to have mirrors that allow you to see clearly an area that is 4 metres wide from the side of your caravan at a distance 20 metres behind the driver. There is a few laws and rules you need to get familiar with and fast before you hurt yourselves or someone sharing the road with you And be nice to your dog and take him out of the boot, put him in the back seat. It's cruel for all the long distances that you drive

Hey Luke I saw my mate has these plastic recovery track or Board thing where he ties it to to the roof rack and let’s the boat slide down but make sure your under the racks so when it’s half down you let it fall no damage done and also those recovery track or board can come in handy if your stuck

luke, try tow in manual shifting mode the gears in the Y62, the engine torque and power will perform better. plus the torque converter wont get so hot and save your transmission temperatures.

@@thatfalzonfamily its a legal requirement in each state/territory to have towing mirrors. You must be able to see down both sides of your van. You'll have a number of blind spots that your stock mirrors cannot see. The only way around not having mirrors is having cameras on either side of your van. Any state police/highway patrol will not accept your statement of 'I can see fine'. Save yourself some money and demerit points and get mirrors.
