Same where I’m from they will make you wait up to 6 hours just to tell you to go to a different hospital. They did that when I was pregnant and bleeding at 34 weeks I ended up having to drive and hour and half away to the next hospital because they don’t have a NICU

@jatievlogs. When you guys went to California and had Skye on the beach and gave her the egg burrito I knew that she was having an allergic reaction to the eggs as soon as I saw how she was acting. I’m happy that you both now know that she has an allergy so you can be aware of what she can’t eat. When my niece was a baby she had the same type of reaction to eggs but her face and hands turned bright red. Eggs are in so many products like mayonnaise, etc. I’m so happy that little Skye Mae is okay. I’m a grandmother of 6 grandsons the youngest is one month old but I just love seeing Skye Mae she’s sooo adorable 🥰

I can empathize with you Biz. Anything involving kids seems to pull at our heart strings a little tighter. I had a situation with a patient that was emotional for both the child and the parent this past Sunday. You did the right thing with the kids Benadryl, but yeah, it's scary because you try and place yourself in their shoes and worry about the outcome sometimes. Sounds like you may have had some new nurses at the hospital you went to. Thankfully everything worked out.

My daughter has an egg allergy. We see her allergist every yr. Shes 20m old and still has not out grown her egg allergy. Her allergist did bloodwork to determine if she can handle baked goods with eggs, and that showed that she cant yet, and she will have an allergic reaction if she does. avoidance, epi pen and yearly check ups with her allergist is her only options for now. Best of luck!

Happy Birthday to your precious girl! What a special day to celebrate! 🎉 Such a scary way to find out that she is allergic to eggs! Yikes! So grateful she is okay. That was def the beginning of an anaphylactic reaction. So scary for any parent specially with a little one who can't say, "My tongue feels prickly, etc." You will become the masters of reading ingredient labels and learning to make muffins with applesauce or banana in place of eggs. Check everything! And also...if you choose to vax (there are many reasons not to!) Be sure you check the ingredients in them. Many of them use egg white as the medium for the shot. You would def want to avoid those too! And check on your cross allergens as well. You've got this! She is blessed to have y'all! 🥰

Sorry you had to go through that. Not exactly sure why but many babies and toddlers are allergic to eggs but grow out of it as they get older. So hopefully that's the case for Skye. Glad she is doing better, you both handled the situation so well
