Cracking jacket Russ. Decathlon? I’m training for the Loch Ness Etape in April, not going great. Definitely need to up the ante.

It sure is buddy and it’s a great jacket just not very packable for if the weather heats up. I’d use something else for that. Have you got zwift mate ? It’s been a game changer for me with training

@CyclingwithRuss Cheers for the info, mate. Very useful. Unfortunately, the missus is dead against the bike in the house, and the shed is chocka, so no zwift set up. Might need to convince her for next winter. 😂

@@Martino1983 my Mrs hates it mate 🙈 you could try some high intensity sessions out on the road just keep them short say a hour 2/3 times a week and do a long ride on a weekend. Start building the hours up on a long weekend ride. Mine started with 2 building by a hour every 2 week. Currently I’m on 5 hour rides. The rides does look good I may do it one year

@@alwynwilliams6866 that’s a decent time mate. Think that’s what I may be going onto next. He mentioned in my voice note last time that we going to look at my ftp once this is over. I’ll be hoping for a sub 10 hours but honestly not sure how I’ll perform. You’ll all stronger riders than me. I’m a cat c on zwift atm

I have been with Mark 3 yrs know he will try to get the best out of you. My advice is hit the hills! I am quite fortunate based in snowdonia we have the terrain but the gradients are not as steep. You will surprise yourself on the day the adrenalin and having other riders around will encourage you. I am looking forward to start doing intervals outside hoping we start getting the weather to train.

@@alwynwilliams6866 I’m quite lucky as well with where I live. I’m not to far from the Pennines and Yorkshire isn’t to far either. I can’t leave where I live with out hitting hills. I’ve got a 5 hour outdoor ride this week and hoping to hit some hills as long as the winds aren’t to bad. I do enjoy the training with mark and he’s super helpful
