I grew up in the Bible belt and I've always had an inquisitive spirit. To make a long story short I sought additional info outside of the Bible and I left the church after I learned more information. A lot of my loved ones feel that I am backslider who is headed to hell. I believe in the idea of theosis. That the person of Christ is who we are to become. Not the Godhood of Christ, but sons and daughters of God like Christ. A oneness or perfect alignment/union with God through Christ. That in character we be like God but not in the same power or authority as God. So I would consider myself something of a new age Christian. I personally never listed to Billy Carson cause his theories never passed the smell test. By "New Age," I mean I believe in manifestation of Gods will in the form of a Christ centered renewal of the mind. I practice meditation(which at the end of the day is just learning to focus your attention instead of being so distracted) each day, by doing guided Christian meditations. I also do very much believe in frequencies in the forms of the "Word" (which come on, thats a sound or at least a spiritual frequency). I have spoken with scores of other Christians who are quickly arriving at the same conclusion when they take time to think about it. Anyways, I have always utilized the time honored measurement of the holy spirit in asking if whatever it is I am doing falls in line with the fruits of the spirit, this is how I have come to the conclusions I have come to.
