While I'd love to see the Tree get back together, as long as SW keeps making albums like 'Raven That Refused to Sing' and 'Hand. Cannot. Erase.' I'm OK with him pursuing his solo career as long as he wants to. IMO those two albums are at least as good (possibly even better) than anything that he did with the Tree.

Check out this article from Feb 2016. Sounds hopeful for at least a new PT album. I don't know if there has been a more recent article that refutes this one though. Hopefully, PT will be back at some point. www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/upcoming_releases/steven_wilson_confirms_he_will_very_likely_release_a_new_album_with_porcupine_tree.html

Personally, I like his solo stuff better than PT. Not sure why, but Tree was never quite satisfying to me, but Steven's solo work just hits all the right buttons.

Who else misses the perfect Richard Barbieri's piano tunes? And also the back vocals! *Edit*: This comment was written 4 years ago. After all these years, I still cherish Porcupine Tree as one of the best things in life and equally respect Steven's solo career and everyone's choices. Maybe I grew up a little.

Agnieszka Kulpinska breaks my heart that felt the need to kill off PT to continue with his solo career...a stronger artist could do both (look at Thom Yorke with Radiohead.) Wilson will always disappoint me for bailing on PT.

Vishal Vasisht: In the case of Steven Wilson, a pop song isn't a insult. At least this song isn't a prog rock kind of song. I'm a big fan of PT, Blackfield, No-man and his solo stuff and over that time he wrote some pretty good POP songs like Postcard, Happiness III and Lazarus. Thank god, there is someone who can write good poppy songs.
