He's got a hell of a band there! Fantastic song. Anyone who says prog died in the 70s needs to wake up. There's as much great prog being recorded now as when I was 18 in 1973.
@stephenhowe2448 жыл бұрын
If not for the Internet I would have NO WAY OF KNOWING that prog didn't die in the '70s! The last few albums of Genesis & Yes would have indeed been PROOF that prog was LONG dead. Want to blow your mind? The first time I heard Yes, ELP, Bowie was on AM Radio! These days radio is a hiphop wasteland.

Just saw this show in KC. It was 10x better than the best show I'd ever seen or even imagined. Virtually a spiritual experience, had tears streaming down my face during Lazarus. Unbelievable.

No homo or anything but I'm really surprised at the youthful exuberance Wilson gives off despite his age (48). Not that 48 is particularly old, but he does indeed look younger than 48.

@masterjosue249 жыл бұрын
+miguel angel pini Craig Blundell is an excellent drummer, being featured in tons of prog rock and drumming magazines and making drum clinics all over the world. He was picked out of many worthy drummers with the difficult task of replacing Marco Minnemann. The one who picked him of course was Wilson himself, who has worked with the great Gavin Harrison, Chad Wackerman, etc, and you're saying the drummer is not good enough? Cool story bro!
@Elektr0hazard8 жыл бұрын
There's something missing in the drums. This guy doesn't keep the constant kick drum beating and that really adds character to the song. Don't get me wrong, it's good and sounds amazing, but the song itself looses some of that hartbeat feeling it usually has.
@GH-kp1ex7 жыл бұрын
Protherus It's obvious what's missing Mr Gavin Harrison 😉
@Elektr0hazard7 жыл бұрын
G H actually, no. Just the original constant kick drum beat from the record. We all know Gavin is amazing, but it's not his sound what's missing here.
@purplespecter6 жыл бұрын
Marco Minneman is playing on the record, not Gavin
@persianskeptic48142 жыл бұрын
Marco Minnemann plays on the album and that guy is a straight up virtuoso. This drummer is really great too, but Marco is like, one of the greatest drummers alive.
@Elektr0hazard2 жыл бұрын
@@persianskeptic4814 Yeah I know Marco is the drummer from HCE. I still stand by my point though, I'm missing the constant kick drum beat only.
@DerHerrMitR8 жыл бұрын
I hope Craig Blundell gets replaced by whoever adds more groove and feel to the songs. Compared to Marco, Gavin, or even Chad, he sounds like he's trying too hard.
@Davideccna7 жыл бұрын
I am really waiting for some To the Bone live material so everyone who highly criticized Blundell can finally shut up. After more than 2 years with the same band he is really getting into it and totally smashed his kit onstage. Which was predictable since he is one of the best pro drummers in the world nowadays and I think there's no need to argue about SW's band choices. It seems that everybody loves to say "bring back Gavin / Colin / Guthrie / Marco / Richard - replace..." or what else for the pure joy of making some controversy. Well they're some of the greatest players in their own instruments, unlike most of us. Just to remind you
@ericdufort56486 жыл бұрын
Craig is the man. Get over it.
@jonfromtheuk4675 жыл бұрын
yawn ....everyone has their favs, but Craig is bringing his own style and I like it. why the negatives? , cant you just friggin' enjoy the song writing and band performance for what it is? - seen it so many times - steve hackett v Daryl , gary husband V phil gould etc it is so boring.
@patrickfitzgerald28617 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry Steven, but I believe you need to emulate Robert Fripp and bring back a new iteration of Porcupine Tree. This is almost there, but not quite.
