He was such a quiet boy in school. Always kept his head down kept to himself, really shy. Wasn't until after school we learnt what he went through losing his father. But he bloomed and now he's one of the most outgoing confident guy you'll meet. When I've bumped into him randomly in town he's always got time to catch up and ask how your doing. Top bloke

I do not mind him at all. I feel he would also work well in a group that does not suck like the one he ended up going into. His voice is great at intros. Definitely sings better than some singer I have seen, just wish the judges would not baby talk him. That is one of my pet peeves. Junges must just be looking for a singer who can sing more modern day songs. Figures Russell would not quite fit into their parameters just from hearing his background.

I hear you, he's quirky, but entertaining. Not sure his style designed for something on broad way(maybe small town theater) can be turned into serious or relevant songs that will be played as any of today's top hits. Maybe he has something in him we haven't seen yet.
