@@Kainthemain I watched him all my life. He was one of the comedians that got me interested in stand up. Now what does taking some years off can do his career? He's been in the business for 27 years. It often gets harder over time to write new jokes, especially in a genre like his. You can only write so much about common cultural stereotypes before it becomes old and repetitive.

Most Comedians polish and refine their jokes during their tours before filming the official special that they want to sell to the streaming services. That's why their specials are often great and looks refined. Ive been to one of his ALMOST FAMOUS Tour shows. His jokes was way better delivered in the taped special. Most comedians don't publish their unrefined work, but since Russell's genre is observational comedy, he benefits releasing these clips on KZbin since every crowd is different and his crowd is often very diverse & gives him materials to work with
