It’s harder being a comedian today than being a brain surgeon. The United States especially. People are overly sensitive about the slightest things, they dissect everything and try to ascribe some nefarious notion to it. Comedy made in 70s or 80s would not survive the media criticism today. Russell had to tone down because US media companies now have departments that gag every artist on political correctness.
