Russ has been virtually flawless in his Super bowl appearances, and the one INT he threw wasn’t even his fault. It was Ricardo Lockette’s. Notice that Lockette didn’t break towards the ball, instead breaking right for the goal line - the expected point of contact. Lockette completely caused that INT. Furthermore, it was Darrell Bevell’s and Pete Carroll’s right idea to call that stupid play. Russ’s execution was perfect on that play; Lockette failed to meet it at the 2-yard line like he should have. He outplayed Brady in that game. His combined Super Bowl passer rating is 115. Would you rather have Mahomes’s Super Bowl performances, and his combined 65 passer rating?

Every scoring drive and third down conversion was like pulling teeth, he could never just lead an ordinary drive down the field for points as drawn up, everything was an unscheduled broken play big gain or three-and-out punt, it was not sustainable

@@EmperorStarscream Well yeah after about the midway point of the 2020 season onward his ineptitude WAS holding us back. His mobility which is necessary for him to scramble into finding throwing lanes to accommodate his poor vision due to height was steadily declining and he could no longer produce "consistent miracle" plays all the time. There’s a reason why we began losing games that went to OT compared to early in his career when he was guaranteed money and undefeated in them, for example. Look at Geno, he’s doing a fine job simply because he can check the ball down to take advantage of what the defense gives him and can move the chains and make third down and manageable short. With Wilson it was 3rd and 9 and then chased down for a sack or if we're lucky pirouetting into a miracle bomb. I’m grateful for everything Wilson accomplished and I will cherish all the memories he gave us but his ego got wildly out of control.
