I actually think that the Mario and friends amiibo challenge would’ve been a nice concept. But As a bonus mode to a Mario vs donkey Kong game then again it would be really expensive so maybe not unless they could’ve found a workaround

I’m sorry, but since the thumbnail is deceptive clickbait (Mario vs DK on Switch’s Metacritic average isn’t 46, it’s 76, the lowest individual review is 50 out of 100), like I get trying to prop up the GBA original by using its actual Metacritic average, but to use a fake one for the Switch remake is just no. Like if you don’t like the remake, then understandable, but making a deceptive clickbait thumbnail, is where I can’t watch this with good faith.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong actually has an unfinished level editor that can be used via Action Replay. Shame they didn't bring it back for the Switch remake.

Unfortunately, most games saw their all time low during the Wii-U era. Those that didn't all had their games remade or re-released on the Switch

The downfall of the franchise was because the ds sequels changed genre. The 1st mario vs donkey kong is a classic and actually showing the power of the gba. Everything after the gba original feel very bargain bin games. Even the remake look and feel like a new super mario bros game with mario vs donkey kong skin. I think if Nintendo want to make a new game in this sub-series they need to keep the puzzle-platformer (not doing a lemmings clone again) and change stuff like other characters like luigi/diddy kong playable or bosses. More charm and dialogue (something that’s the remake fail, the gba version have mario talking a lot especially for a gba game is rare).

@@stripedrajang3571 dk voice lines are reused from dk64 so not only that’s dk sound like a gorilla and saying “yeah! Cool!”. Modern dk not speaking and sound like a Japanese guy doing chimpanzee voices. Mario have more personality in the gba original. Watch the cutscenes on KZbin.

Small correction, the series started with 'Donkey Kong' on Gameboy. It's confusingly not a direct port from the arcade.

@@stripedrajang3571 did you even played or see the gba original? there are much more voice lines than the switch remake. because its a 2004 game the gba original re-use the donkey kong 64 voice lines (aka Grant Kirkhope the best donkey kong voice actor) and dk sound like a gorilla and actually have some lines in english like "yeah cool!". the voice actor from the remake is making donkey kong sound like a japanese guy doing chimpanzee voices in the studio. in the original mario vs donkey kong Charles Martinet (the voice actor of mario) have much more lines and actually laugh in cut-scenes and even talking in the credits (mario actually saying the names of "Charles Martinet" and ""Shigeru Miyamoto").

12:26 as an European, I woulad say that Nintendo take this decision at the last minute, because of the fact that in many European (And I'm talking about very important countries, financing speaking for Nintendo, such as the UK, France or Germany) countries people are not okay with paying for something that is not physically present. The situation change but not at all and that's why many games still have DLC in physics like the Mario Kart Booster Course Pack, Splatoon 2, ANCH, also Kirby Dream Buffet, which has a physic download code relase I also remember that people preferred to use prepaid cards for all online purchases on console, and I knew many people who did not want to put their debit cards on the Wii U or 3DS ; switch Switch most people not use their bank info because of Switch Online so, more people buy digital content and apps/subscriptions like Netflix AppleMusic or YT Premium have made habits changes

they removed so much stuff. and teh coolest death is impossible now. its sad. the only good things is new graphics, music remakes, and new worlds. the ruined music for fire mountain and the other world is sad. and the changed deaths is even worse.
