As a Cold War era trained anti-tank gunner (M40 106 RR and later TOW), I would have to agree. You'd need to have to get pretty close to that decoy to have identified it as being just that: a decoy. Even with the advent of high-resolution optics of reconnaissance drones (made worse by the low-resolution optics of a suicide drones), you'd be hard pressed to conclude anything less than the decoy being the ‘real McCoy.’ The video of the Ka-52 taking out Ukrainian _combine-harvesters_ and the Russians claiming they were Leopard 2's however is a different story altogether. That's just pathetically incompetent AFV recognition training. That anyone in the Russian MoD thought publicising those videos-even for propaganda purposes-would serve as confirmation of Leopard 2's being destroyed by Russia, was too foolish to comprehend just how inept and incompetent those videos would make the Russian military seem (and they bragged about it). A few weeks ago I was in Bali on a short break. It is truly disappointing to see so many Russian draft-dodgers roaming the streets of Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu. They are in the main belligerent, bellicose and inebriated. They are causing headaches for both business owners and the police. The Russians are not liked at all by anyone except themselves. At the age of 21 awaiting an egzam to university I got into my head advice from our principal to try an experience of living for one year on so called 'sabatical'. That was a total disaster. I went through four jobs relizing that life in Poland was not for me. There was a chance to be taken and on Nov 11, 1971 half a family left with me. (Mom and sister). Some more than ten years earlier our mom was planing to do so. Father did not dish-out funds to pay for the passports. Reflecting back the time in Poland was a smaller copy of Russia. In one ward people had no incentive for success. There were those feelings as if everyone lived in a mental gulag. Putin desires go back into those days the real power of the Kremlin got stuck into collective hegemony over all the enslaved states. Humanity is not predisposed to live existance of the termites or ants alike to gulag of human souls.
