I agree, maybe their buffer zone can be made within Russian 1991 borders if it means that much to them, why must it be at the expense of the smaller neighbouring nations, Russia has plenty of land ....have your buffer there!.

I see from the map Russia is a little short of fishing space. A lot of the fishing boats do not go out too far because of fuel cost. but some do.

@@smiljapregel8315 Chicago's fishing fleet is one boat....There is a fishing boat in Peoria then a few on the Mississippi river for Illinois. Maine and Alaska have large fishing fleets. Maines are poor and Alaska rich.

Ei Venäjä noin vain siirtele rajoja yksin (laajenna), vaikka sitä tehnytkin kautta aikain. Suomen pitäisi saada nuo saaret takaisin itselleen ja Venäjän kutistaa muutoinkin omaa maa-aluettaan (ei vain vesistöä), eli Venäjä saa ihan vapaasti kyllä siirrellä omia rajojaan, mutta vain yhteen suuntaan. Viipurikin pitäisi palauttaa, sekä muutkin vanhat suomensukuisten asuinalueet. Venäläiset voivat pitää Moskovan. Näin minä rajat siirtäisin, ja kutistaisin vanhat Venäjänkin rajat takaisin aikaan jolloin Venäjä oli lähinnä pelkkä rusina kartalla, ennen Mongolien valloituksia. Venäjän ryöstöille pitäisi tehdä stoppi. Ja Venäjä on pilannut ihan itse ja yksin välit jokaiseen läntiseen rajanaapuriin. Koulukiusaaja, ja rettelöitsijä, joka aina haluaa sen mikä kuuluu toisille. Vaikka sitten tappamalla ja varastamalla.

Venäjän olisi hyvä muistaa se, että ainoa syy miksi edes Suomenlahdella on kansainvälinen merialue on se, että Viro ja Suomi on sopinut sen ns vapaan väylänsopimuksessa. Suomi ja Viro voivat purkaa kahdestaan sen sopimuksen, jolloin molempien aluevedet laajenevat toisiinsa kiinni ja kansainvälinen aluevesi häviää suuremmalta osalta Suomenlahdelta.

You probably never heard for United Nation Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). 4. How do you propose doing this territorial grab? And do you think all territorial waters limits should be extended or just the Baltic? 5. The EU is one of the biggest exporter/importer of goods and its the EU who benefits the most from UNCLOS, if they don’t respect United Nation Conventions many straits/waterway passages one day may be closed for them too, or you think that’s not possible because they are part of NATO and they are going to bomb, bomb and bomb their way. 6. You probably don’t know since you never heard for UNCLOS who benefits the most from the current border situation in the Gulf of Finland as it is today, let me tell you, its Finland and Estonia, leaving Russians that 6 km corridor legally keeps them out of Finland and Estonia's actual territorial waters. 7. Now, lets do your theory, let’s say Finland and Estonia do meet in the middle, 6 km corridor in the International water is gone, what happens next and do you know who will benefit the most, its Russia. Under UNCLOS, freedom of navigation and right to unimpeded passage extends to territorial waters as well, Russia would have the right of unimpeded passage through the entire straight which would let them go right up to the coast of either Finland or Estonia and its not just the sea, its air over-flights too. 8. People are too afraid of Putin's gang and all those who are harrassing them/decent people worldwide, only because they speak up, so they rather stay quiet I guess.
