Hi, I am English and live in the Czech Republic. My colleague’s mum has come over from mykolaiv to look after my cats and dogs while we go on holiday. She said people are now going back to mykolaiv. Weird someone coming from a war zone is now living with me. My colleague’s Russian boyfriend is saying that things are getting very bad in Russia, that nothing works and the Russian government is issuing people with large tax bills often going back decades, indicating the Russian government is desperately trying to find money. Btw I listen to your podcast every day and love it ❤

Russian complaining about Donetsk being shelled is a joke, they are shelling Kherson, and have flattened ever city in range. I do look at Donetsk and say UKR must be very tempted! I would think is is much more probable that the Russian shelled in order to blame UKR, just how they think (and don't think)
@ryanfountain6171

It could be the Russians spinning their failure. The city is pretty close to the front and depending on where it was it could be artillery rounds falling short. They apparently are into shells made in the 70s and 80s. Shelf life can effect flight characteristics.

Well, it is strongly suspected that the Kremlin was behind the poisoning of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei...64 and healthy. He died "suddenly". Makei was working covertly with the West to end the War in Ukraine. He crossed the line when he stated that Russian troops would not remain on Belarusian soil after military exercises were completed. Oops, Putin had I ther ideas.
@IusedtohaveausernameIliked
@IusedtohaveausernameIliked Жыл бұрын
Negotiate? There's nothing to negotiate. Russia can end the war whenever they want by simply removing their troops from Ukraine. They just don't want to do that even though they are losing just about every battle. What Russia wants is a break from the fighting so that they can reconstitute and carry on their invasion. Ukraine, and anybody who supports them, would be foolish to allow this to happen. Ukraine understands this but any lukewarm supporters who are calling for negotiations are simply not understanding the nature of this conflict. I want peace as much as anyone but the only way to have peace in Ukraine is to give them enough weapons to force Russia to leave. Putin can NOT be trusted in ANY kind of negotiation. He only understands force and that is what must be used to stop his evil machinations. Ukraine is both willing and capable of doing the fighting so all we in the west have to do is keep on giving them money and weapons. Yes, it's expensive, and it hurts us too, but it's more than worth it. Ukraine is paying the biggest price in blood and so a little economic hardship is no big deal. Slava Ukraini!

I find it so amazing that, when people mention the degree of curruption present in Ukraine, at any point in time following the desolation of the UDSSR, completely ignore that they have a serious legacy of being under that influence so intensively and for so long. It should be OBVIOUS that it would take time to develop out of that legacy. Any moron should be able to recognize that those complaining of their lack of "ethics", should also take note of any positive development and efforts, from both inside and outside, to undermine it. But what do we hear? Crickets! Apparently, the expectations lean more toward instant acquiescence.

I used to go to Russia regularly pre 2020, there were nowhere near as many fires as there are now. In large, modern shopping centers like the one in Khimki, the wiring is probably comparable to Western facilities. It's estimated that there are at least 2 million ethnic Ukrainians living in Russia, I wouldn't be surprised if they sabotaged a few facilities. I like the "torch job" theory for the shopping mall. Given the number of brands leaving Russia, the owners of the mall must be losing money hand over fist, so this might be their way out. Since so many systems in Russia were based on Western components, some fires may be the result of these systems degrading.

One must remember that Scholz had strong connections to easterrn Germany. The german socialists or at least a significant part of the party were quite ambivalent towards NATO and the US which had consequences. For instance they were reluctant to endorse the Polish Solidarnosh movement because they wanted to keep the status quo. in the Soviet sphere. And many leading socialist did not want a reunification of Germany because they thought that the socialsit system in eastern Germany was fundamentally better although it had its flaws. In 1982 the party of Scholz opposed NATO's stationing of new middle range rockets as an answer to the sovietunion's stationing of new rockets. the consequence was the breach of the coalition with the liberal party and the formation of a new goverment under the conservative chancellor Kohl

Just before the Full Scale Invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦, my ex in China 🇨🇳 was telling me about bio-labs in Japan 🇯🇵. After the invasion that was suddenly re-purposed to bio-labs in Ukraine 🇺🇦. Just saying…

The tanks are coming.... Ukraine is saved and now Ukraine will win. This reminds me when Churchill met Roosevelt on that ship in the Atlantic. After securing Roosevelts support Churchill slept a wonderful deep sleep for he knew that Great Britain would be saved, and I know now that Ukraine will be saved...so now I will also sleep better...

Normally this is an interesting channel to listen to. Today, however, the first half seemed to consist of little more than waffle and stumbling speculation. If the correspondents have nothing solid to say, then it might be better to say nothing!

Its stupid to speak of escalations when it's a full out war now. Either fully support Ukraine or let Russia annihilate them.

Doesn’t Qatar owned the league that Messi played in that won the championship this year, which was hosts in Qatar? If that is the case I don’t know what I’m saying just that it’s a little fishy… I could have all my data wrong though because I don’t really follow the sport…😮

Ukraine could rip this thing wide open, and I mean wide open if it encouraged a Chechen sucetion, a second front in the war that could just rip the Russian state from history.
