Hey Jake. How about a fundraising drive for trucks fitted with power generators, or just generators on trailers? We do trailers here in Florida to get backup power to wastewater lift stations quickly after a hurricane. Ukraine probably has a fair number of standby power generators for important infrastructure like water and wastewater facilities. I'll bet they have a government department that could specify what they need. They could probably customize it to the fundraising goal you provide them. Lead times are not as bad as they used to be, and Europe has excellent manufacturing capabilities for this type of equipment. Heck they might bump a few customer orders back in the line with the customers' blessing. Kind regards. Great work.

After WW I Germany didn't lose the Rhineland, Jake. It had the status of a demilitarized zone, but was still a part of the Reich. The Allies wanted to have it as some kind of an area of no-expected resistence where they could very rapidly send in their troops from Belgium and France to lay their hands on the Ruhr area's coal, in case Germany would not pay its reparations from the Versailles treaty.

@@Jayytee177 I think this time around the stretch goal for Ukraine hasn't been met (so far) but the basic objective is satisfied - on both counts same as the last time, operation r~edso~x (take out the tildes). Ukraine is 4x the size of Vietnam and has received orders of magnitude more support Vietnam had (while also starting the war many times stronger than Vietnam militarily, industrially and cadre wise). So don't write thdm out yet. For Russia to defeat Ukraine without agent orange, napalm, daisy cutter bombs and under sanctions, in light of the above it'd have to be over an order of magnitude stronger than the US was in Vietnam.

@@AlexKarasev Trump stated he will lift all sanctions.
@AlexKarasevАй бұрын
@@platinaatje6134 Trump said many things to many people. Clearly, if he lifts any sanctions he'll want something in return. Plus, sanctions linked to something like the Bucha massacre aren't politically possible to lift unless Ukraine releases the list of victims and if the bodies are exumed and investigated forensically and if the causes of death (bullet fragments or shrapnel and their metallurgy) trace the cause to parties outside Russia. Clearly that's a house of "if" cards that has a slim to none chance to stand up to rigorous public scrutiny. Last but not least, the sanctions have proven to be a boon for rebuilding several domestic industries and have pushed several nations to at least hedge their bets with BRICS outside of dependency on the Western institutions. I doubt Russis wants anyone messing up her beloved sanctions at this point.

America is not amused because this would be yet another thing that EU "takes from them", if central EU countries literally merge their armies then it's going to be a way stronger army than the US army and possibly even the elusive NATO army, because "number of boots on ground" doesn't matter nearly as much as big piles of money to fund the whole thing & central EU countries just so happen to be wildly profitable. Jake, a one man show, provides excellent and reliable information on this disgusting Russian expansion. For example, here in this video he replays this psychopathic Russian drivel on Russian tv about their claims to empire. Why isn’t this essential information on the front of every msm news show? I've learnt a lot following the way up (or down) to the presidential election about the US. What we Europeans usually don't get is the reality about US media. It is not only the terrible influence of Fox News (faux news). What's euphemistically called mainstream media, suggesting a spectrum from right to left, are in fact corporate media in which reporting, producing and editorial decisions are influenced by income generated via commercials, ratings and stock prices. Take a journalistically highly valued show like 60 minutes; it is available on KZbin, but strangely enough, it's complete length is (unedited) less than 20 minutes. The rest are highly priced, very expensive commercials. Think about the consequences.

I would agree with you now, but go back 1000 years and it was more about people. For example in South East Asia there was so much land that they were more interested in incorporating new citizens into their kingdom, either as slaves or citizens. When the King of Cambodia defeated the Cham people he wrote a proclamation saying that "you are now part of us," (paraphrasing), and not destroying them but making them part of the kingdom. Now Cambodia is still around about 4% Cham Muslim people from my understanding.

Sad to say, but from now on I will ask KZbin to not recommend channels with content about trump, ruzzia and other toxic topics. Since last night the world is on a very dark path.
