This man is the embodiment of the "peace through strength" mainstream Reagan Republican perspective that I subscribe to. He is an incredible communicator with an impeccable resumé: Army intelligence officer in Germany in the 1970's, fluent in German, BA and JD from U of Virginia, elected in Virginia as a County prosecutor, then Attorney General, then Governor, twice a Presidential candidate, etc. Here's hoping he can find another appropriate position in the second Trump administration and that he is listened to. Thank you, Jason. I like the reasoning of James Gilmore, this is the GOP as we knew it once. But as he said, there are unfortunate things that D.Trump or E.Musk say. Just some days ago, Elon Musk interfered in the German elections, telling the Germans to vote for the extreme right party AfD (on X and in a German newspaper). A party that isn't only Putin friendly but also so extreme that even French Marie le Pen doesn't want to have anything to do with it. Moreover he said that the German president Mr. Steinmeier is a tyrant. Obviously Musk doesn't know anything about German politics, because the German president, although head of the state, has only representative tasks and no real power.

Everyone should see and hear that interview, because it discloses that the Russians are not only after Ukraine, they are after everything they once had. However, the US is no longer willing to be Europe's piggy bank or their policeman. Either Europe gets their act together and ups their game, in which case we will be there. Or Europe can start learning Russian. The safety and security of the United States is not at risk in Europe. We got along for over a hundred years without European entanglements and we can get by again if needed. The Western hemisphere and the Far East is where our security is most at risk.

I would like to express well done for working on getting Ukraine's military house in order in regards to the 155th brigade, and may Ukraine continue to do so. But keep a eye on the bigger picture Ukraine management of the whole of the front line, Ukraine might not be able to stop Russia everywhere but they can manipulate the front line to best suit themselves and make things painful for Russia. Stay organised, well managed, and strategically and tactically and technically superior to Russia.
