Russia never had full control on either of them except Luhansk - and even there the Ukraine still controlled Bilohorivka. Putin virtually declared annexation of territories he did not control. So now he controls even less of them.. But Russia didn't "lose full control" cause how can you lose something you never had in the first place.

Safe to say that of the oblasts Putin declared for himself, he fully controls maybe one (Luhansk), and that might be the first oblast to be won back if Ukraine manages to rush Staroblisk.

I hope they get Kherson because I remember the people on their streets telling them to leave that they weren’t welcome and even killed an unarmed man. They jumped on the side of the tanks but Russia sent some of his FSB police and spread around town and oppressed the people. if the russians are abandoning their vehicles and leaving on foot it means only one thing. They have no fuel for their vehicles. No soldier would abandon their vehicles voluntaritly if they didl, That means Russia' can't Supply their troops with event the most basic of supples. Food shortage is next. so long as ukraine can supply its troops and doesnt outdistance its supply structure they will make huge gains quicklly i believe.

Russia must be forced to compensate the Ukraine, and pay for all repairs. The Ukraine should get safe borders. The border of Kazakhstan east of the Volga should become the eastern border of the Ukraine, and the lands south of Volgograd and the line to Luhansk should be added to the Ukraine. This would also bring safety to Georgia.

What is your objection to the term? In my understanding, annexation is the illegal process of one country declaring that another country (or part of it) is now part of their own territory, normally when they are occupying it militarily. It is a unilateral pronouncement by the annexing country. Agree it is pure despicably Putin but it does not seem to be an inaccurate description of what he has done... what do you think "annexed" means Jas?

I am neutral but Putin's annexation and or occupied in Ukraine of territory souvereignty is so wrong according to Law International because Ukraine is independent and souvereignty state is the same as Russia's potition. Confession of Ukraine and Russia recoqnised by another country include the UN

OK, we want Ukraine to repel the Russian invaders, back behind the border of their own country. But the concept of "Moscow has fallen" and "Russia defeated" leads us into a much more dangerous position. What I would like to see, rather than "the fall of Moscow or Russia", is a rebellion which ousts Putin and where THE RUSSIANS try him for corruption and starting a war under false pretences; followed by a more moderate government, that treads the slow path back to reconciliation. I want to see Russia using their defence budget for DEFENCE, not for attacking their neighbours.
