Let me know what you thought of the video! I think on Normal speed it might be much more reasonable for me to be able to finish this We The People run. I actually haven't finished one yet, they just end up taking so much time per turn, even if I'm not recording haha. Our colonies just grow too big. Anyway, this run has been a lot of fun so far, I hope you enjoy it too!

In my experience, the crow are the biggest pushovers of the natives. I"ve seen AIs take all their land and they are like "we wouldn't betray our closest friends!"

Im russian myself, historically we had periods of colonising really barren land, this is not really reflected in bonuses. While civ bonus is kinda weak (Defense+%culture), i disagree with weakness of lumberjack. Its only of few units capable of producing huge amout of base resource (production), but strategic and luxury resorces. Its not flashy, but it is most versatile unique unit in game.

I often just end up with a good amount of lumber naturally, but Siberians will require less people at least for that production. Harsh terrain settlement could maybe be factored in better.

@@DyllinWithIt I find something like french furier far weaker, because it's just efficiency of converting one resource into another. Siberian lumberjack and Danish fisherman create yield from thin air, not only efficiency, but higher floor and ceiling Of course Portuguese unit do thin air tricks too, and is probably best one in entire game.

@@blackleon1708 Portuguese are OP in my opinion for sure. But your argument of more period is a sensible one, Siberians are better in that way.

@@DyllinWithIt yea, Portugal is very strong, i think its best pick for new players actually. Easy mode, so to speak Yermak himself, with his bonus traits, reflect that "harsh conditions" russian history. All his bonuses combined allow for, basically, teraforming. Huge discounts on settlers and pioners, and huge boost to pioners efficency. He claims teritorry easily, and can transform it cheap and fast. Still feels underpowered to be honest, Sweden Pioneer leader does similiar thing arguably better

I never really cared for Russia since their starting units seemed pretty weak. Their special unit doesn't help much either
