I usually don't watch state-owned media because of the obvious conflicts of interest and biases and whatnot. However, Al Jazeera is a lot better at separating their views/opinions from truthful journalism. They aren't always perfect and not always without biased and you can always tell the Qatari view on every episode when watching this news network, but I honestly feel they are near the top of state-owned media. Like I said, I prefer private or public journalism. I do not like state-owned media generally. I'm actually a libertarian leaning person so me watching a state-owned news network is different. I can't stand RT news though, there biases are blatant and they lie and twist stories almost every single time. I truly respect Mehdi Hasan for his on his journalism. I mostly just watch the stories and debates that Mehdi Hasan is in. I feel as though he is the most honest and unbiased .

I hear/read many comments from nations across the world on how they hate their current Government including the US. The Governments all use the same tactic, just in different ways. That tactic, FEAR!!! Fear and Religion are 2 of the main ways to control a large population. Nyet!!! We have manners! Normally we first wait for person speaking to finnish before next question! This idiot is like typical Western reporter, they love creating comical drama by rudely interrupt someone before they can explain, for THIS puts heavy pressure and nervousness on guest esp with hostile audience! Like she said is true, West DO wish Russians to vanish in Black Hole! Sorry IDIOT! That is OUR part of Earth, keep your demonic black soulless carcass away as it was by YOUR grave you call mouth that slandered that people seem to vanish who oppose us...DA! Watch out for our Black Hole!

If you people care about those Sunni Muslim in Syria and why not about those innocent Shia in Bahrain? Muslim always make trouble.
@MalistaniOfficial9 жыл бұрын
+abuaimen28 all nasty things you have mentioned comes from the terrorists. Saudi Arabia everyday barrel bombs schools, and hospital in Yaman but no one says anything. Im not taking anyone is side because I'm not Muslim, but Assad has right to defend his country. You said, in Bahrain innocent people do not suffer the way innocent people suffer in Syria and you came out with crazy figure. Have you ever asked yourself why is this happening? Before war started Syria, Syria was one the best country in the world but America didn't want them to grow rapidly and give free oil to America. Why do you think Saudi Arabia is a very close ally of America? Let me give the answer because your brain is not working, because Saudi Arabia feed America by oil, otherwise America treat those other Arabs.

+abuaimen28 haha Saudi gives to its people more than Assad. Firstly women have not got right to do anything in Saudi Arabia. Secondly they behead 200 hundred people each year. Is that what the Saudi gives to its people more than Syria?
@ranapour9 жыл бұрын
+abuaimen28 House of Al Saud does not treat their people better than House of Assad that is because West and Americans are not arming the opposition groups in Saudi. If they did you will know how they will be beheaded in Saudi cities. Problem in Syria is that Americans and West are arming groups opposing Assad. Assad is killing people who have taken arms against his regime. It is simple and every regime on earth would do exactly the same but America, whose Middle East policies are devised in Israel are pretending Assad is simply bombing his own people. Israel is the evil in Middle East and responsible (via the Israeli-American neocon)for Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria.

Appreciate Russia for tremendous contribution towards world peace. I felt the US could have contributed more if she is not run after the economic benefits, if she is not run after the middle east oil... In the name of Human Right the US destroyed many nations where the people suffered 100 times more than the bring justice to the people... Hope and pray that the countries like Russia, US, China, etc should work together for the world peace.

Interviewer talking about human rights... Why not talking about Human Rights in United Arab Emirates and Qatar (Al Jazeera headquarter by the way), which live under Sharia law?

Гениально! Эта дама как никто другой представляет лицо путинской России. В купе с ужасным английским и внутренним презрением к аудитории её можно приглашать во все передачи для демонстрации цивилизованной аудитории лица путинской власти. Браво, Нарочницкая!

Mehdi Hassan has revolutonized how debates and interviews should be conducted, why the sugar- coating and soft-spokeness? On the other hand, it was painful listening to the Russian lady. I can speak better Russian when I have a stomach constipation and I am not even Russian.....

Letting the woman answer the question before reading from foot notes and asking the next unrelated question mid-sentence would be nice. Watched another interview that went about the same way. No subdivision of culture, population and political leaders from the interviewer.

P0SlTR0N i noticed this too. The journalist seems to be quite hostile toward some of his guests. But not all.

You can't have a discussion when the moderator is clearly biased and constantly on the attack. Moderator is using his guests to collectively attack the Russian. This is a very unprofessional and dirty thing to do.

At least she are being treated just like your typical foreign expert during propaganda show in Russia. Tables turning, and, suddenly, you are not that great of orator as you thought you are. she has no support of audience, unlike in your typical discussions on russian TV where people that oppose propaganda statements are being constantly outvoiced (literally) by opponents and puppeted audience. As we see, it's hard to play this little propaganda game on foreign field.

If you do want to know the truth - go to Crimea yourself and talk to the locals. That is the only way to prove that the overwhelming majority of Crimeans do NOT want to live in Ukraine. Within 2-3 years there will be more solid results in ukrainian and syrian situations. Everyone will see which country gained and which lost.

Вася, а ты был в Крыму? Я с Крыма. И скажу, что референдум - это полная профанация. Никто на него не ходил. А сейчас всем заткнули рты, и люди боятся сказать, что они против. In 2014 the absolute majority of locals did not vote on s.c. "referendum". Afterwards no one can expose his objective opinion about those events, afraiding for their lives and freedom

So much bias against Russia that the whole debate was rather uneventful. A little more balance would have made this more interesting.
@MichaelPetersFenwicks9 жыл бұрын
+Ariesticnig its almost Russia was just debated without objectivity in other words usual narrative one gets from the western media. Russia is such a diverse country that representation like that only allows continued ignorance. Yes the politics is a little different but that could also be down to linguistics on the basis the whole debate was a one trick pony centered around Uncle Putin's likes/differences.

+Jimipedia this woman can debate you idiot. Dont be such a thick cretin that you cant look past the accent (God forbid an actual Russian talking about Russia) Hes a pathetic interviewer. The alleged "always tough questions" is idiotic. It is clear that his background knowledge on Russia is very limited- so he should have asked questions that at least reflected this.....and in a room full of idiots also....does he not normally interview with just the camera-crew and interviewee in the room?

Sure there are Fascist processions every January in Kyiv. The same sort of Fascist processions happen every November in Moscow & St Petersburg. The same in Warsaw too. That according to her logic would make Russia & Poland Fascist states.
