A special train commissioned by Russian railway troops of the Western Military District is involved in military operations to protect vital rail routes and deliver critical supplies.
Footage shows the Armoured train with soldiers manning a ZU-23-2 23 mm Anti-Aircraft Twin Autocannon and soldiers observing the passing countryside through the protection of loopholes cut out of protective heavy metal of an armoured protective shelter, the soldiers “covering” the surrounding area with machine guns, Kalashnikov rifles, sniper rifles and the anti-aircraft autocannon. The soldiers are also seen leaving the protection of the train to conduct rail and bridge checks for ny signs of attempted sabotage

Never underestimate the Russian Railway Forces. Yes, they were obsolete in modern day battlefield as a fighting platform, but they were instrumental for ferrying fresh numbers of troops, ammunitions, equipment to the front lines. Have you ever wonder why the Ukrainian counteroffensives failed while Russia has taken Avdivka from the Ukrainian? This is due to the fact that Russia has strengthen the easily defendable positions in Donestk and Kuhanks region by ferrying troops and equipment with old trains.

USA reveal b-21 raider stealth bomber ...... Russia reveal ARMOR TRAIN ! ! ! ! ! !
@TomDrez
@TomDrez 5 ай бұрын
Wtf is this comparison, the b21 isn't even close to be ready and that was from a year ago, we're talking about a train here not the PAK-DA (which is the only thing you compare a stealth bomber to), also from now i think i can say that thoses 4 trains showed themselves very useful to protect, their supply chain by train, only a small number of attacks from the ukrainians did manage to stop for a few hours each time the trains incoming from russia, and none of thoses were destroyed, so i think thoses proved themselves really reliable on a war situation such as this.

Im sooooo confused? Someone high up somewhere in what's considered to be our most advanced adversary, cable up with an idea for an armored train? In this century? And then another person also raised his hand in support for the idea? Then another few hundred ppl all agreed and they built it?

This is less stupid than it first appears. 03:00 you can see there's at least one drone operator providing overwatch. Combined with air cover keeping enemy aircraft/armor/MLRS out of range there's a reason AFU targets the tracks and not the train itself.
