Russia Spent $109 Bn On Military Amid Ukraine War, Israel 2nd Largest Defence Spender in Middle East

Countries spent a record $2.4 trillion on military forces in 2023, the highest amount ever recorded by SIPRI. SIPRI has been monitoring military expenditures since 1949 and found that it rose to 2.3% of GDP in 2023 from 2.2 in 2022. The report said every man, woman and child was taxed an average of $306 for military spending in 2023, the highest rate since the Cold War. The report also found that the increased spending exactly matched the global rate of inflation of 6.8%. The report noted spending was not evenly spread out because “world military expenditure is highly concentrated among a very small group of states.” Watch the video to find out more.

Only awakened citizens know the consequences of US hegemony, including Ukraine war, which could easily have been avoided. A small unelected group in the US controls activity in the US and its vassals. I note the opposition has responded in kind. If I was an advisor to the opposition I would recommend an increase in military budget to wartime levels in response to the $95 billion US aid to Taiwan, Ukraine and Israel. Until the US dismantles the undemocratic levers and returns to citizen representation and disarmament.

Not sure about the collective amount of military aid Ukraine received in 2023, but the figures must be somewhere around $250 bn. So, Russia spent twice less effort than Ukraine but still advanced westward and gained territory. Clearly, NATO is successfully failing.

Never overlook the significant and meaningful event that occurred on December 8, 2021. The Indian highest priority VIP helicopter mission transporting India's most important senior commander Bipin as well as many of India's most highest ranking captains, generals, officers, chiefs, squadron leaders all onboard crashed resulting in the death of all 14 passengers. If India cannot even guarantee their most senior military officer safety during a short and simple 4 minute flight, how can they possibly accomplish anything?
