Are We Moving to Russia?/ The Russian visa Process
We once had everything we ever wanted... the land was just right, the home built custom by us-for us, the neighborhood was great, we grew all our own food, business was great.... but we packed something.... the future, try as we might we could not see a prosperous future for our children. We could not see them able to flourish as Christians in Canada anymore nor be able to financially afford their dreams, Canada wad becoming far too expensive and so.... we made some massive changes....
We have made a huge family decision to sell everything and relocate to an area that will be safer for our family as Christians in the long term.
This has not been an easy decision but one we felt we needed to make for our children and theirs.
We took this summer off and traveled the USA and have now flown across the ocean to Tbilisi Georgia.
We rented an apartment/hotel in Marjanishvili Square for 8 days but have just found a house outside the city where we can spend the next weeks/ months as we wait for our paperwork to start our NEW adventure in Russia.

Russian bureaucracy will definitely test your spirit, man. Unfortunately, a lot of people working in a lot of these agencies hate their jobs. I follow several expats that said it was an absolute nightmare to deal with these people. Its a shame and hopefully Russian government can focus on this more after the SMO. Glad you have Timur to be a buffer in all of that, you have your hands full. All I can recommend is make sure that if you have any problems with any particular agency, take names and write a complaint to the administration of the President. Usually issues are solved within 2-3 days from what I have heard. Thsnks again for the videos. I think the Western expat population is going to grow quickly in Russia. I agree, we should do whatever we can to help future folks make this transition easier. You have inspired myself and my wife to record our journey. Hopefully it helps others to make this jump to get out of the Matrix!

Welcome to Russia. We're also expats since mid July 2021 from the USA now settled in Sochi. We left for many of the same reasons you mentioned. I was raosed on a dairy farm in central MN, so I can relate to your families feelings of the open land with animals. My wife was raised in Russia. We got married in 2000 in Russia. She and her teenage son came to Phx where I was at the time. People are much friendlier than our media and leaders tell the population.

I find that country people are much friendlier everywhere in the world. Also people that are on the poor side are much friendlier. In Winnipeg, your neighbours are watching what you own and it is a rat race of keeping up with the latest fad. In Manitoba it is the same as Minnesota. I never noticed the media saying anything untowards about Russian people or Ukrainians in general except the Russian population has been brainwashed by Putin. Getting brainwashed is not their fault and it happens all the time through history. The Germans were brainwashed in WW2. It is really difficult to change someone's mind after the brainwashing. Even when you show them the direct evidence they have cognitive dissonance. Like Donald Trump when he said people should inject bleach. My sister told me that. The only thing was he never said that. I even showed her the video and she still didn't believe me. The media did a number on her. She really believes he said that and I will never change her mind. The only good thing now about Russia is that you don't have to give up US citizenship when you get Russian citizenship. In Ukraine they make you renounce your other citizenships.

I would guess an area like Sochi would suit much better or some other place in Krasnodar Krai, in the south anyway. Or Crimea? Unless that's not an option for you politically or something.

Yes we plan to farm here, the climate here is great for farming... most of Canada is colder and we farm it.

@@TheTachaev But Crimea belongs to Ukraine and good luck with that. I wanted to buy an apartment in Crimea but if you buy now the transaction could be null and void and you could lose all your money. Also if you are Canadian , it might be illegal to even go to Crimea. You would have to keep secret about even visiting Crimea I found this : "Crimea and Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts To travel to Crimea, permission is required from the State Migration Service of Ukraine. To travel to the Non-Government Controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, one needs a special permit from the Security Service of Ukraine." So you will be breaking Ukraine laws if you travel to Crimea as a Canadian and if you post it on KZbin then they will know. You could be sanctioned by Canada and Canada could bring you up on charges when and if you ever visit Canada. They could extradite you to Ukraine from Canada to face charges.

Знаете, у вас есть огромное преимущество - вы живёте в той же широте, что и Россия, поэтому вам не страшны ни холод, ни трудности земледелия, ни весенней грязи. У нас есть на Алтае семья из Австралии и вот им было сложнее, но они уже пару лет идут по фермерскому пути и нам интересно наблюдать за ними. Главное найдите чернозём, там легче и дешевле заниматься земледелием.

The bureaucracy is pain.... I was born over there and just getting my documents figured out so that i can open a bank account took multiple trips to russia and months of waiting on things to be found or completed or whatever. The nice thing is once it was figured out, they issued me a social security card in 20 minutes. It took 1 appointment to get a new birth certificate printed and generally any services needed were a breeze once I got my internal passport (otherwise despite being a citizen i couldn't even get a phone number). About Russian Embassies I've learned that if you come with smile and good attitude they'll go out of their way to assist you in your process. But if you are demanding, screaming, angry they'll make sure you spend more time than needed dealing with all of it. They do have power of speeding up or slowing down your documents' process and you have a power of being human toward them so, they gladly will respond alike.

Russia has no true Embassy in R. of Georgia since 2008 war. But Swiss kindly provide a place for sort of a Russian Consulate. Great you've found your way in a "manual drive" mode.

Very interesting to watch your video. I have also moved to Russia from the states even though I lived in states most of my childhood. But I don’t know how everything went so smooth for you regarding the documents. Either good luck, or good lawyer, or you had a large sum of money. Unfortunately I had a lot of problems and still experience problems with legalizing here. Even though I am Russian, visited Russia many times before and had relatives who lived here before. Perhaps part of the problem is I chose a more corrupt region then Nizhniy Novgorod, which is Krasnodar Krai. I hired “attorneys” that lied and filled documents incorrectly and didn’t return money, FSB (Russian FBI) search house and harass and even help in jail for 6 days, and now they don’t want to give documents (VNZH). I never spoken against Russia and never went on any meetings so it is very strange that even happened, perhaps because of the current war/SVO. Or just more corrupt region. Be careful with paying and also there are many issues with immigrants from Tadzhikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and so on. More people like yourself should immigrate to Russia instead. Keep your kids safe. Also recent outages with electricity, good to have electric generator at least, and wood for keeping warm. I am not christian but I aside from nostalgia the reasons I moved here were also that I didn’t like the LGBT propaganda in USA, legalization of drugs, homeless living in tents on streets and leaving trash everywhere and so on. I also found that Russia would be a better future for my future children. A farm is a dream as I didn’t have enough funds to start one but maybe someday. Hopefully Justice will be and I will be able to stay in my country and live normal life. I like your videos and you seem like a nice person, I also thought about starting a blog but I didn’t have time for it yet.

USA citizens are now considered "unfriendly citizens". They had no right to do that, they said as if it was so I "wouldn't escape". This happened right when conflict between Russia and Ukraine was just starting, maybe that is related, I don't know, they wouldn't answer exact reason for their unlawful and anti-human actions.@@AlexisGR8rock
