Russia - U.S Troops Face to Face in Niger Airbase 101

Russian soldiers entered the airbase 101, that’s been housing U.S forces in west Africa’s Niger nation. The troops of the two rival powers are sharing airbase 101 in the country's capital city of Niamey and this has caused lots of tension in the American camp. The U.S defence secretary Lloyd Austin says that the soldiers are based in different hangars and are not mingling with each other - Question is why is the US insecure and what would happen if the two rivals mingle?

The US may wish to start a war because that's what they do. Furthermore, the US feels it's owns Niger. But I find your statement that whoever allowed them to be independent, strange because the right to self-determination is a God Given universal Right adopted the United Nations in a Chapter and International Human Rights Law. No one can take it, you have to surrender that right either voluntarily or by force. That particular outlook needs to be changed in your mind.

Actually, Austin is simply explaining that there is no intermingling viz a viz their two sides. I really do think his talk is for clarity and to explain to the American people that there is nothing worrisome. Saying that the safety of the troops is important seems just natural.
