For example after WWII England which I know about for facts had to bring immigrants from their colonies (India & Carribbean) to help physically rebuild the United Kingdom. Not exactly. Tanks can still be very effective if they have air support and air defense. The Abrams tanks in Ukraine lose their effectiveness because Ukraine army can’t provide the air support that the tanks need. In other words, if the air defense system is able to shoot down the drones long before they reach their targets, then tanks can do a very good job as an offensive weapon.

Tanks need infantry and air support to work effectively. Ukraine doesn’t have much of either one. Now the Abrams tanks are relegated to become mobile artillery, which drastically reduces their value and effectiveness.
