Specialized weapons like this are nerfed as they would be way too OP, most prominent with anti-materiel rifles, the m107 and the Lynx would kill you behind walls with the right ammo, kinda cheat-y when people can learn the map and kill you just by guessing which corner you are in.

In modern warfare 2019 you can make one. Put 23 inch romanian barrel on it, 5.45 ammo(which is necessary), Skeletonized stock, Compensator and tac laser or stippled grip tape

+Greenftor You can buy fully built AKs from basically everybody but Russia and China. The Chinese ban will never get lifted because they were caught selling full auto guns on the black market in California. The Russian ban may sort itself out if the Crimea/Ukraine situation ever gets resolved. They could make the rifle at Molot for a royalty as not all Russia aks are banned just K. Concern. I do like the 107 and 12 though. I think the AEK or whatever it is the most appealing model though. Some US receivers are as good or better than Russian ones but most are made to be cheap just because most AK buyers are cheap skates and want a 500$ rifle. That is changing a little as AK's are in vogue again here like they were in the late 90's.

They deviate from usual machining and introduce new concepts like bullpup systems and more recently, the production models stemming from the AEK system. I'm really surprised to see the ak-107 operating, it seems the gun has come from a video game, but so does the Tavor x95(very modern) and AUG A3, G36c, etc.

I mean, M16 is a fine rifle. It's not as "laser beam-ish" as AK-107 / A545 in terms of recoil, but i'm pretty sure that it's hella more accurate. AR platform with it's "free-floating barrel" always was closer to 1 MOA than our AK's and it's just a fact. Though both rifles are good. My experience with AK-74, (specifically H2 variant, but i never had NV scope on it) , comes from russian military and this is the weapon i trust. Owning VPO (civilian AKM) and it works like it should. I spent a lot of time with AK platform and i have no complains. On the other hand i used AR-15 only once in my life while i was in Krasnoyarsk with my friend and even tho i had just two 10 round mags, i still really liked this rifle.

@James Wyatt full auto is useless in almost any conditions with a combat rifle. Accurate semi auto fire is what the HKs and ARs specialized in. If you need a full auto on the job your buddy has a M240.

***** Well, they put the AEK-971 in many of their games, which has the BARS action also. However, they always give it high(ish) recoil to balance it out, even if that defeats the purpose of adding it. I'm thinking they could give it a lower damage model than the 5.56x56mm NATO rifles to help balance out a high rate of fire and low(ish) recoil. After all, 5.45x39mm is a bit "colder" round.

Guten the idea is simple, the mechanics isn't. If the bolt and counterweight doesn't strike their ends at the exact same time you're gonna have some really weird movements in the gun and possibly failures. This means that you need extremely high precision and complexity in the machined parts and that causes the price to rise, and complexity means more chances for failure which military usually are allergic to.

An-94 was there in developement since 1994 - this is just an totally simplifyed version of that whiteout the barrel movement. Id say they just tried some stuff during the 100-series developement and it turned out nice ... still, seems it stuck in possible militarry service, but not standard issue - just for some specials having the money and need for it, but has AEK-971 to fight for theyr attention (witch was field-tested too during later dev. stages). Also, the 100 series was anyway (away from the 74M) more foreign market oriented. ... also, no wonder AN wanst taken white its complexity and dissasembly/assembly (try find a video of them doing it). i.ytimg.com/vi/R7jThx1PebE/hqdefault.jpg Idea is simple, but not many foreign guns needed it in these days due to good accuracy anyway and long prolonging tons of 74s in service. Even now, its questionable if AK-15 be a standard issue rifle, and debate shifted just to change parts on 74Ms for picatini railed ones ... its more than sure, that till the old one keeps together, no mass produce is much in sight.

Bringer of Storms please. its mechanics and physics. the weapon and war industry is one of the biggest industrys in the world. making two mechanicals pieces going opposite ways simualtionasly isnt something vastly difficult task. connect them with two gears (as he said) and hey, they are mechanically _forced_ to move exactly the same way, but opposite directions. we have accomplished alot more with alot less money that it takes to develop this. there are 100 years old rifles that used recoil shells with alot more gunpowder than usual, that spit out some of the gas at the back to counter the recoil from the big shell. the idea has beem there for ages, the solution in this clip shouldnt have been that hard to make. i definetaly agree that this is wierd it hasnt been made sooner. super impressive tech. tho. looks unreal.

koettfaers Way to miss the point there. Compare this to an AK47/74 and it's more complex and has more moving parts, this drives up production costs and time and more moving parts means a higher risk of malfunction. These shouldn't be difficult concepts to wrap your head around. Why would you bring up recoilless rifles here? They may work roughly on the same principle but are nowhere near alike.
