I like to point out One major issue rarely mentioned is that Ukraine is dependent on foreign aid for their military might currently and no one knows for how long that level of aid will be upheld. Change in leadership or economic collapse which is being predicted to be a high potential with how things are currently going can have serious implications for Ukraine. A problem Russia does not have and yet is getting some aid from china. Time is more so in favor of Russia.

That's a clue, Russians, which leads me to believe that perhaps the lights were never on. Hanging your comrads upside down in trees, either killing them or letting them be killed by advancing Ukrainians before they get eyes on is just putrid. Those who say that the counter-offensive is slow should be explained that the command of the Ukrainian forces is not waging a war for territories, they have a smarter plan. Their main goal is to destroy the enemy's military potential, to exhaust and neutralize the enemy's army, that it would not be able to launch a counter attack in near future and seize territories back. As soon as the enemy army is defeated, the occupied territories will be returned without hindrance. Also in the West, they do not understand well that this war will not stop at the return of territories alone. The Kremlin regime will continue as long as they have a chance to destroy and capture Ukraine.

As a US veteran and tax payer, I am not worried about the pace of the counter offensive. Taking positions is a whole lot harder than defending them. And, ultimately, this is a numbers game. Ukraine is trying to push out an invading country with 10 times the manpower reserves. They can't afford to full "russozombie rush." They have to make sure they have enough equipment and manpower to fight tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. Just keep it up. The world is behind you. Slava Ukraine!

The issue I find with this channel is that it's entirely one sides in the presentation of footage. Not saying the Ukrainians aren't fighting hard and having victories but they don't show any of the major losses on the Ukrainian side of the conflict. I literally seen a identical video to this but of a Ukrainian armored convoy being destroyed on a different channel. If this war shapes up to be a war of resources like most tend to be and without foreign aid Ukraine would most likely fall. The Biden administration has sent absurd amounts of funds and equipment to Ukraine to protect his and others shell company laundering scheme but what will happen once he is out of office. Will Ukraine still have the US economic beast supplying them to the same degree? Just wanting to point out a big issue pro Ukraine media is with holding in that Ukraine without foreign aid from essentially all of the top military super powers could not have held back Russia. Hopefully the war comes to an end before it gets even worse.

Romania has reopened 3 ammo factories which were closed for decades, they now produce ammo exclusevly for Ukraine. Romania also reopened the railway stations which are compatible with the soviet railway tracks to help ukrainian exports by train. Those were closed since 1990. Also, Romania has pledged to double the processing capacity of the Constanta harbour, which is the biggest at the Black Sea, to accomodate ukrainian exports. Romania has pledged to support Ukraine with everything it needs for as long as it takes to end this war. Ukrainian pilots will train on F16s in Romania. And many other things. The only thing is, Romania has decided not to make these things PUBLIC !!! Given the fact that up to 2 years ago Romania had almost zero economic relations with Ukraine , and pretty tensed political relations , given the horrible treatment of ethnic romanians in Ukraine and the aggressive romanian land grab by ukrainian forces in the Danube Delta region, I would say Romania has helped and is helping tremendeously !

One piece of equipment which was very useful during prior trench warfare was the Periscope. I've not seen these used at all during this conflict and I can't work out why. It's a lot safer to use a periscope than stick your head up out of the trench and wave your rifle about, which makes yourself very obvious to the enemy. In WWI, they even had periscopes attached to rifles so the troops could shoot pretty accurately at the enemy without exposing themselves in any way to return fire. These days, it would be very easy to just put a small camera on each rifle allowing troops to look down the sights remotely without poking their heads up out of the trench. They'd still need to poke their rifle out, but their brains would stand a better chance of staying inside their craniums, and they'd be better camouflaged.

The view angle is very limited. Reflection off the lens could give away your position.

I think they'd use them if it made sense. They might be used in a limited amount. Both sides are probably too mobile to be using the classic periscope. A display attached to the gun, as you suggest, sounds like a good idea, but is probably difficult to deal with in reality. The field of view and the screen itself would probably be too small to be very useful. Would need to pipe the image to a set of AR glasses or something, and that is still future warfare stuff.

To some extent they do in effect have periscopes with the use of drones, but at an individual infantryman’s point of view then you make a very valid point.

Great idea you just gave me..ive been thinking about things like thst..it would mean huge differece imagine setting up a camera somewhere steady and just having to check a little screen where your shots are landing that be cool..but then again ehst do i know
