What's worrisome at this point is the lack of artillery support for the front line. The drone spotted the column at least 15 minutes before reaching the front line. Artillery should have been hammering that road, while the armor was on it's way in and on it's way out. (not to mention the fields in the "landing zone" ) So artillery scarcity is a real issue. Production ramp up of artillery shells and barrels should have started back last January!

This may not go down in history as the battle of Tobruk but it was a consequential battle, reminiscent of Tobruk with tanks and artillery, and void of airplanes or many modern weapons - but with the advantage of having a drone capturing these unique videos. Avdiivka Assault, Welcome to Avdiivka Assault Russia, Welcome to hell Russia. Part One - The armored column is moving to the strongpoint of our guys. Impact direction: Krasnorivka Stepove. The enemy plans to break our defensive line, cross the railway track, enter Stepove village and dig in. Before the attack the Russians carry out massive preparations and deployment of smoke. The column is divided into four groups which each move in a different direction. At the head of each group are five tanks which lead with continuous fire. In addition, the tanks are trying to make a corridor through the minefields so armored vehicles can pass. Enemy BMPs have stopped and are waiting for tanks to overcome our defenders. Defense force artillery begins to work, Ukrainian artillery are trying to prevent equipment getting to the positions of our infantry. Enemy tanks start to move forward. The second group doesn’t wait for our defenders to be suppressed, and start to move forward. One of the biggest battles of modern military times has begun. In the second group the enemy is immediately minus a BMP thanks to our anti-tank missile. The enemy advances further. The second group is minus another BMP. Tanks from the first group are joined by a BMP with infantry. The surviving BMP of the second group, dumps personnel in the landing zone and start to leave. The first group continues to advance towards our lines. The first tank explodes on a mine, the tank drivers leave the blown vehicle and flee the battlefield. The second tank also explodes on a mine, the infantry begins to hurry, a shell lands a few meter from the fleeing tanker. The first group loses control, the commanders don’t know what to do. The armored group is stuck in a place and trying to contact headquarters. Commanders on the ground decide to drop the infantry where they are stuck. After dropping the infantry, the fighting vehicles follow the first wave of the battlefield. The enemy infantry ran into the landing zone and dispersed, our guys begin to fight with the enemy. At this time, the fourth group is attempting its own assault on Avdiivka. After seeing the defeat of the first wave, the fighting vehicles begin to prepare a new attack. End of part one.
