My twin brother was taken to hell by either an angel or the Lord Himself in 1995 as a 16 year old. Both of us got saved in January 1995 but after he started to fall back into the world via secular music like Boyz to Men and Jodeci. He didn't see anything; not even the divine personage who took him but he recalled hearing a massive crowd of humans screaming in agony. The place was pitch black and it felt like a massive cavern. This is terrifying. I think pure in heart is more important than fearing god. Believing in a vengeful god just perpetuates negative self reflection which develops into mental illness. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. When we are children, we obey our parents out of fear of punishment. As we mature, we develop a moral code, doing what's right because we want to be good people, while not forgetting that jail exists for lawbreakers. In the same way, we may start our Christian journey out of fear of going to hell. As we grow, we also learn to live righteously out of love for people and to love God for his blessings. While not forgetting that hell exists, if we slide back into unrepentant sin.
