My friends and I dance Bachata, at a dance studio in Houston, where we have a very diverse population of many nationalities. It's not considered polite here to mention such things. So, I don't really know who to call what. I only understand a little Spanish language or whatever you call it. I never meant to say that only "certain" people could dance it. I especially love Bachata, and I pay money for lessons. I learned Bachata from american mexicans or (hispanics, is what we call them very respectfully That's what they prefer here.) A teacher from the Dominican Republic came to our studio and taught the Dominican style Bachata. Some good dancers introduce us to other dance styles of Bachata, Salsa, Tango, Cha Cha, etc. We teach them Western Swing, Waltz, Polka, and East Coast and West coast swing dances. I grew up in San Antonio, TX with Tejano dancing too. So you see, I have to deal with many dance names and styles. We respectfully use "Latin Dancing," when referring to dances developed in South America. And we are fully aware that there are many different cultures and countries there. This probably doesn't make sense to people who are not living in Texas. I don't understand why everyone has to be so rude. No one knows everything.

no lie, once I read Russian bachata I was very on the offense side miss judging "book by its cover" thinking they were gonna be stiff, or change the while concept of bachat, bt now I think they did a great job and being from central America it touched my heart to see them enjoying bachata as much as Latinos and I also never imagined to see a whole crowd of them practicing, thank you

Creo que estos chicos bailan francamente bien. No creo que haya que nacer en un lugar determinado para bailar bien más bien depende de las capacidades personales, la practica y el ensayo. Quizás, si es cierto, que en el lugar sea cual sea si hay un número mayor de personas que bailan una determinada modalidad de baile haya también un número mayor de gente que baila bien, cuestión de números. Por ejemplo Tanja la Alemana, que no se si es alemana, pero tampoco parece dominicana, que diremos entonces ¿que no baila bien?. Bravo por los chicos del vídeo, donde quiera que hayais nacido...SOIS GENIALES.

Simplemente me gustó, con sus adiciones de flamenco, tango y ballet, aunque su ritmo no sea el tradicional latino sus movimientos van acorde a la música, lo hacen muy bien, eso demuestra que los ritmos musicales no tienen fronteras ☺ excelente!

I really liked the emphasis on sharp technique and clean lines from the couple in the beginning of the video, not to mention it was awesome choreography. I've danced and watched bachata for a long time and it grows very tiresome watching couples perform with sloppy technique, lines and footwork even if they do have passion. This couple probably could use to work on the chemistry a bit but that usually grows as the partnership does and becomes more comfortable and apparent with time. Overall I think it was an awesome performance regardless of where they are from! :D

Why is this titled 'Russian bachata'? Its just russian people dancing regular bachata. It's like the title's implying that they invented it or some version of it. But their moves were pretty basic and unremarkable. They did a good job though.

Soy de Rep.Dominicana y he visto que personas de Argentina,Chile,Venezuela,Colombia,México y ahora Rusia agregarle pasos y sazón al baile de bachata, me alegro por eso,se bailar bachata porque nací en ese ambiente y con toda sinceridad digo que esa pareja sabe bailar bachata los felicito al máximo.He notado que cada pareja le agrega su sensualidad a la hora de bailar por lo que cada quien baila como le plazca y guste, digo que el bailar bachata es de todo y para todo sin excepción de continente.

debo decir que al menos tratan de bailar un ritmo tan diferente al que ellos están acostumbrados. al menos hacen el intento. pocas parejas, según lo que vi al final del video, lograron bailar al ritmo de la bachata. otros parecía que estaban bailando tango, o vals, o no sé qué ritmo europeo!

Lesly Gonzalez-Orbegozo first of all are you stupid? the dancers are neither italian or spanish as you can see. If you want to get technical spanish and portuguese wouldn't be considered at all as pure white as they are mixed race, considering the I don't know how many years long invasion by the moors. Latins refers to people that had latin or some sort of bastardized latin as their tongue, this includes french which in fact are more saxon than they are latin. Nobody mentioned anything about white people not being able to dance, since even in latin america you find white people dancing, he referred to the latin american culture. Judging from your name you're probably one of those brown ppl that feel the need to defend white people even when it is uncalled for.
