Fred Armisen is the greatest SNL member to ever appear on this show. He is HUGELY versatile, and never hogs or trolls scenes. He can play the front funny man, or the back. I will say the guy who plays McGrubber and the other guy playing the Russian take equal second place. The three of these guys with Adam Sandburg make the best cast ever (as far as men cast are concerned).

It wasn't imitation of the language, it was imitation of an accent. And pretty accurate. As Russian I find it more Balcan sounding (sort of "it feels like of my language group but I don't understand a shit") , but of course it's a fictional language only for a skit :)

As a russian speaker I can confirm they are not speaking in russian they just pronunce nonsense letters with accent, except when Svetlana said "spasibo" in russian that means "thank you" and Katya said "nyet" it means "no" :)
