I am a guitar player and normally focus more on the guitar. But RS is one of those few bands where i can easily focus on only the drums (or bass) during the songs. Perfect drumming!

Having been completely deaf from 1991 until 2010 , can you imagine not only finding a world beyond cassette tapes and cds’ but my teenaged kids explaining ‘ streaming ‘ to a non computer user. I said to my missus “ ok - ask it for “ Awaken “ by Yes...she replied “ there’s 47 versions “ to which I replied ‘ give that thing here “ So having caught up with acts I knew , I find entire Genres of killer music. “...Killing Joke go prog...” is an interesting description. I could see that. This is my first Russian Circles song and I’m liking it so far; it’s like all the best parts of metal and hard rock without the cheese. Not bad. I still like Chelsea Wolfe more though.

Riley Noland Post-Metal never left! I recommend checking out the band Gnome and their album “Father of Time”. Check out the tracks “Jebediah Supreme”, “Ye Old Beans”, and “Mercy of the Sea.” Very heavy, very fun and catchy.

I'm the camo shorts guy. It sounds exactly like Russian Circles and would have been pissed if not. Dave's drums are more in front of the mix in the beginning, thats about all I can discern that's really different.

This is HEAVY. Reminds me of some of the older stuff you guys put out. I still dig the ambient spacey stuff, but not going to lie, I like it when you get loud and heavy. I still remember the first time 309 debuted, the cymbals were so loud, my hearing was destroyed for a week.
