3:25 to 5:20 is my favourite Opeth moment in all their discography. They sure have many genius, emotional and technical parts, but this one always gets to me. With the concept of the album in mind, it inspires entering the depth of individual darkness, merging with fear, deep regret.. The point of no return.

For me, every album is just what it should be. Ghost Reveries means a lot for me tho, and i find it to be Opeth's masterpiece. But i don't think we should actually compare Opeth eras because in a way, all the albuns are above average.

Sorry, i have a real hard time distinguishing one of Opeth's very best song's from another, cuz they are ALL 11+ on a scale of 1-10 Every song on every album has such incredible musical depth and style.There are not alot of bands that you can play 2 different songs from & not know it's the same band.Such is the diversity of Opeth, from the heaviest darkest metal with cookie monster vocals to soft jazz, & then classical piano concerto & then blues, & acoustic guitar with soaring harmonies, all in the same song!

Opeth is the most harmonic, melodic, and demonic band of all time. They are the closest thing to perfection that exists in music, period( before Heritage).
