Fun fact: Sinaia is a mountain town/resort in the Carpathians, Romania. The royal family had a couple of castles there, that you can sometimes see in stupid Netflix romcoms. It might be beautiful there, the mountains are majestic, but there are way too many tourists. I will now give myself a thumbs up.

@@aaronwhite1786 They are incredible. I've been working on a synth project that uses some of their techniques. (e.g. delays, loopers, frequency shifters, etc.) Just stumbled upon them randomly on KZbin and was blown away. I thought many artists didn't do that. Good to see other musicians using similar techniques.

I randomly stumbled upon their “Enter” album like 15 or so years ago. One of the best random KZbin videos I ever clicked on. Especially since it was during the time I got VERY heavy into post-rock. Russian Circles was one of the bands that really opened the door for me, and got me deeper into the scene, beyond the more mainstream bands like Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky.

Russian Circles vids are some of the highest quality sound you will come across on the KZbin, but they really must be seen live to capture the full essence. Rarely has such a small number of people (three) so fully saturated a room with sound. It is a sonically overwhelming experience.

Very much this! I remember seeing them for the first time live some +10 years ago and how I was floored how ridiculously massive Cook's bass sound was live - even though they were playing in a small club venue. You can otherwise try to replicate the live sound by putting all the volume knobs to full blast in your sound systems, but it's quite impossible to replicate that huge bulldozer bass sound which makes the band sound so massive when they play live. Adds a whole 'nother dimension to their already expansive soundscape.

Yeah I really like that color too. When it comes to guitars the look is very important to me, and I used to not care for Gibson body shapes(especially SG's), but then I dated a girl who had an Epiphone LesPaul Modern II I think? Basically it's thinner, lighter, and slightly smaller than a standard LP. Playing that guitar blew me away, but specifically how effortless it was to make chords on the low frets. It's an uncomfortable strain to play the same chords on my Telecaster.

This song alone felt like a film and I haven’t gotten that feeling since Shia LaBeouf did that cameo in a video about a girl who was a ghost of sorts? Called “I never knew you” I believe. It’s well over a decade old but it was truly cinematic like this. Only… this… gave me goosebumps, raised hairs on my neck, made my heart rhythm change a few times and just overall blew my mind. I learned of this band back in 2009 the KZbin algorithms have worked for some time it is only recently it feels it coming back full circle. Try Red Sparrowes if you like this band.

Randomly I just saw this amazing live record and realized its 1 year old live session today. I'd like to see a new live session of "Milano" which is my fav track of all RC discography. Anyone share the same thoughts?
