I want to thank you for this video. I know it's old but I still watched it and bought the setup you suggested. I took your setup out trolling caught a 9 kg salmon and loved the feel of this rod and reel. I went right back out and immediately hooked into the biggest fish I have seen in less than a month of playing. After about a real hour of fighting and chasing him around, I finally landed the salmon and it weighed 21.4 kg. It's the 2nd largest salmon caught at Volkhov on the USA server right now-- I know it early in the year. Thank you! You made a new players week.

No problem glad I could help. Usually the gear setups on old videos are still viable unless the old lake has had a face lift by the devs.

again tyvm for the video, saved me a headache, (like the one you did on bear lake-one big headache there). The bream spot is right where you said it would be across from the old quay, I was up to my eyeballs in bream lol. I was having great luck with Zeiman terminator f5-003 and the spiker #6 008 got like 55 fish in three game days, so again awesome job!

@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare the CatFish issue is exactly as you said. I have caught 2x 10kg ones and my line for 200 is 15% worn out. I made 40 silver on them. Caughed one small eel yesterday at the place you named. Going to buy few lures now. Will be looking for new videos on other lakes if I make a move. This game is so beautiful (ultra, 4k), once I arrive to a place I like, I keep fishing there for some time. Impossible to move elseware.

great video, i look it every time for new lake, i just get question, on your setup for spinning you use rod, 40-120gr and use 17gr lures ? i have always use rod, like 15-40gr for 17gr. thats not make a problem to use like you do ?
@midnightgamingmysticnightmare3 жыл бұрын
Lure weight below rod test has bad casting distance. Not good for spinning. Lure weight below rod test for trolling is ok because you can cast and let line out when trolling.

Seems to me like a recipe for disaster with your setup (15:15) your leader being the stronges part of the whole rig. Your real would break first then the line. Or an i missing something. I am relativly new to this but from what i have seen about setting up a rod, this just seems all wrong.
@midnightgamingmysticnightmare2 жыл бұрын
Yup, you're missing something. The reels weight strength isn't the max drag, it's called mech weight. In this setup the line would break first because it's 15kg, the rod would break next cause it's 15.4 kg, and the reel would break last because it's mech weight is 26kg. Here's a brief description of mech weight in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/apOuqotundOmf9E

Hello, what's the difference between Proton Pro 6000 reel and the Pulsar one? As they are similar, why the pulsar is 100 silvers more expensive?
@midnightgamingmysticnightmare Жыл бұрын
Proton Pro 6000 and Pulsar are a carbon copy of each other. They are exactly the same. However you can't buy the Proton Pro 6000 anymore, it was discontinued years ago. The closest you can get is the Proton 6000 and that isn't even close to the Pulsars drag weight, so I wouldn't recommend it. If you want something cheaper than the Pulsar, consider the Sabre 60s. It has slightly more drag weight with slightly less line capacity, mech weight and durability. Pretty decent reel.

@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare Thx for reply. In fact it is for fit with the feeder rod of the christmas event which is 26,1 kg resistance load.

@@Bombastic0013 Might want to look at the titan, hsv, or alpha reels then.
@Bombastic0013 Жыл бұрын
@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare I got hsv but i use it already with Fortuna Carp 360xh. (and it is very expensive compared to sabre or pulsar) Is it not better to have best weight capacity first for rod then the reel and after that the equipment? (line, bottom line etc...)

@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare I took the pulsar 6000 finally.

have a question: how do u know the mech weight of each reel???
@midnightgamingmysticnightmare4 жыл бұрын
Go to google and type in Kiltedjock spreadsheet. It should be the very first link. Once in the spreadsheet click on the link at the top called "reel sheet." Under the column called "max drag" those are your mech weights for each reel. Or you can click on this link and fast forward to 15:38 in the video where I show you a demonstration. Good luck! kzbin.info/www/bejne/apOuqotundOmf9E

Can you stop your boat and fish a spot for a while?

Yup, in fact that's the best way to jig, and if you can find a deep enough hole, toss out wobblers that swim to the bottom as you reel them in.
