But I guess that’s A.O.K. with those who are still registered Democrats, because those of us who are concerned with corruption left the party after the 2016 and 2020 corrupted primaries. Now the party is trying to overcome the obvious issue of having not certified in Ohio, by “changing rules,” as you so gleefully and undemocratically state. It is revealing how you are so vengeful regarding Trump, that you disregard actual disenfranchised Democrats. Russian trolls don’t even need to spread their cheesy memes to create “chaos,” as the Democratic Party has dived head-first into authoritarianism. Looking at mental and physical abuse by men against women must be also part of this important discussion. There are deep wounds that too often are completely ignored, but they are there. @rhino51002 ай бұрын
I traveled to the Soviet Union as a teen in the 1980's. One thing I learned was that the USSR lost so many men in WWII (and from Stalin's purges) that older Russian women didn't have sympathy for younger Russian women trapped in abusive marriages. They'd tell them "At least you have a man!" A man, any man with a pulse, was a prize for a generation stripped of their menfolk. I also learned how normalized domestic violence was when my roomate and I in our hotel room could hear the woman in the next room being beaten and the man screaming at her and her body hitting the walls and things breaking, even while we didn't understand Russian. We called the front desk to report it and get help for the woman and held the phone up so that the attendant could hear what we were hearing. They couldn't have cared less. They told us that it was the couple's private business what they did in their room. We were kept up all night listening to the assault. It was a harrowing experience as my roomate and I were 16 year old girls. Yes, you can find this pathology in the United States. The surprise was the total lack of response and any concern. "Deep Wounds" is the operative phrase and I believe you are correct.

Its true - and quite Jungian. The inability or unwillingness to integrate the contra-sexual elements within a person is what drives the sexism. And then it’s projected outwards. It’s really the only logical way to think of how the mind works. And he’s also talking about an image based pre-language! this is also entirely true too. I mean, this is probably what babies have but certain there is a visual proto-language within us. It’s why memes work among other things. It operates at the tacit level. You can deny it all you want but you can’t find it if you look for it, but you can see its effect on people. I’m very glad Vlad said this !

Please, be careful with Baumeister. He is Ukrainian, but he has resentment of the collapse of the Great(as he thinks) USSR. His mentality of a Ukrainian, but with a russian view, russian language and glorification of the russian imperial culture. Everything that comes in the russian language - not a Ukrainian point of view ourselves. We have some speakers that don't know anything about Ukraine or even russia in the complex.
@VladVexlerChat2 ай бұрын
This is not a truthful post. Baumeister and I have very different views on many questions, and as with anybody as online as he is you have to watch for changes in their message, but his view until now of Putin's project is that it has nothing to offer except violence, that it is imperialism, and that it is evil.
@VladVexlerChat2 ай бұрын
ps. Just to re emphasise that when I give answers like that they are open to amendment if the subject changes their public position. With Baumeister my answer holds for six months ago, as I haven’t seen his videos recently. Another part of your message I don’t recognise is that Baumeister resents the collapse of the USSR. Baumeister is right wing and he thinks the USSR was a disastrous tyranny. Please criticise his views as bad but you need to be more accurate.
@awdey2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your response. I just want to clarify something. Many people are not familiar with the Ukrainian language, which can make it difficult to fully understand our national issues and long-standing tragedies. That's why it's important to critically assess what some Ukrainians may say about global matters. Especially when they speak Russian in public. Baumeister has a circle of friends like Arestovich that are trully believe in some project «Ukraine-Rus'» and want to implement like a political movement or even make some kind of country. While much of what they say might be true or reflect a democratic viewpoint, it's essential to recognize that it may come with a certain bias or perspective. So be cautious, my friend. If you are not familiar with Vitaly Portnikov, I recommend watching his channel. He provides accurate insights into global issues, Russia, and, of course, Ukraine. He is a well-respected Ukrainian journalist.

I always find it interesting, I love understanding how different cultures work. There are men, close acquaintances of mine, who feel oppressed by women. It's almost as if you can see the inner child upset with mom. It's comical because we live in a very masculine world. I've experienced situations at work where people ignored a more experienced female colleague and only asked me questions. I feel like there is a form of resentment among some men for being treated, in their view, as disposable and women as precious. In fact, we think carefully before sending a woman into danger. There's this idea of "men's jobs" and "women's jobs". Regarding Kamala, I notice that she laughs to calm the situation, which is generally seen as shyness. However, there are other things in her favor, she has a very feminine energy that is not seen in all women. The archetype of a mother who is a source of comfort and warmth is very strong, even the hardest of hearts cannot resist it. There are no people more despised by society than those who attack a mother.

It's important that men accept their feminine side, but this needs to be a part of a broader framework or it will just become toxic in a different way. More generally, all real things need to be treated as potential good. Maybe good that isn't worth the cost of extracting in some cases, but the good is there none the less. If we don't look at this within that broader context, then men's feminine side will simply be used as a tool to try and dominate the masculine. In my opinion, we are already seeing this in the feminist movement. Actually on both sides, where women are seen as needing to be more masculine at the cost of femininity, and men are seen as needing to become more feminine at the cost of their masculinity. Because the issue is not the discrepancy, it's the amount of objectively lost potential. Potential good extracted from a place where much already is being harnessed is worth no less than good from a place where there is barely any good recognized. (Diminishing returns are a thing, but it's not that important since we'd quickly figure it out anyway if we genuinely desired to extract maximum good) This is in my opinion the ultimate driving force behind all modern western social problems. The moment that equality became the goal rather than simply moving in the correct direction is the moment that we decided that good wasn't good enough. Unsurprisingly we are in short supply of it now. And even worse, we have less functional diversity with which to draw apon in order to resist these forces and parallel problem solve. And if you want to retort that good is subjective, you really should ask yourself why you bothered to retort at all.
