When you decide to come to the USA you will be very welcome. When in California I recommend that you visit Pariah Brewing Co. in San Diego...outstanding beers and ale's. If by chance you make it to the greater Chicago area I recommend a visit to Two Brother's Brewing Co. in Warrenville, IL and "Hop Butcher for the World" Brewing Co. in Darien, IL. If you do make it to Chicago let me know...would love to meet you and buy you some beers! Kind regards, Tom

We had the Elder but not the Younger. Tremendous beer. We have never see either beer here in Kansas City. My son bought the Elder in Pueblo, Colorado. It was sold out in 12 minutes.

Loved this review mate. The authenticity is truly welcome, love the excitement for a good beer. As an American, I may be one of the few left who will take a west coast style IPA over an NEIPA. The haze craze doesn't stack up to me. My opinion and I'm allowed it lol.

Hey Simon. If you get the chance to go to California the Pliny the Younger release normally coincides with San Francisco Beer Week. Went last February and it was ace. Got to try PTY on draft and chatted with Vinnie Cilurzo during a Russian River tap take over at Tornado - amazing time. Cheers, Mark (a fellow South Walian)

Welcome to California. It's a big state. You could do a lot worse than starting in San Diego and drive all the way up to Fort Bragg on Highway 1. There plenty of awesome scenery, burgers, waffles and of course fine craft beer.

I am on the west coast, and my favorites brewery saved me some, Stone, had this many times on tap, yes first year in bottles and distributed in the San Diego area
@munsterr777-iz2ow4 жыл бұрын
Wow, never heard of this, Pliny the Younger is usually a TRIPA, on tap only at the brewery, average wait 8 hours, 2 tickets for two beers and only 20 minutes to sit at the bar, never heard of bottled or as DIPA at that, gotta check this out, cheers 🍻

Im new to drinking ales, so far ive had marstons pedigree, king goblin and old peculier, but for some reason i cant seem to taste any of the flavours, will this change over time?
@Daemiex4 жыл бұрын
they are only cheap ales so your not going to get much from them to be honest, spend a bit more and research some decent brewerys that you have access to purchase thier ales, i dont know if you can get them where you are but one of my current favourite brewerys atm is northern monk, you will defo get flavours from thier ales

Rob Fowler is correct. Russian River is great about keeping prices reasonable, even though demand is high. The resale market... well that's another story (I did not sell any of my bottles). Weekend wait times were insane, but I went during the weekday and there was relatively little wait time. Plus, RR serves great food and the staff are friendly despite the crowds.Oh yeah, and RR allocated fixed numbers of bottles to sell each day so that they were guaranteed to have it in stock at the start of each day during release week. If you made it a couple of hours before close, you were almost certain to get two bottles before the day's allotment sold out. It was a very well-prepared and organized event.
@barrypatton64244 жыл бұрын
Wow I was expecting you to say it was a hell of a lot more expensive than that. Fair play for not cashing in too. Would love to try it.

Pliny is pronounced PLIH-NEE not PLY-NEE. Apologies for being a pedant.
@cookieman1364 жыл бұрын
Where are you getting that information? The beer has always been pronounced PLY with a hard “I” sound. The historical figure the beer is named after “Plinius”would be pronounced with a soft “I” Which doesn’t reconcile, but too late to change at this point.
