I'm a citizen of the United States. My ancestry is German and Polish. As a child, I was enamored of my German ancestry, with their fast cars and military prowess. (I'm still very fond of Germany) One day, my mother suggested that if I made the effort to research, I would find much to be proud of on the Polish side of my ancestry. I did some research into Polish history and discovered eye-watering courage, sacrifice, and heroism.

That VOG drone was such a clever idea. Not trying to glorify war by any means, but to come up with a nifty little gadget like that on the fly AND have it be so effective... that really was an awesome shot, and certainly looked to be quite effective. Ukraine's forces are literally throwing everything they've got at this, I do hope this conflict can end soon and Ukraine can be whole again. It's also a shame to see people continue to die over Putin's lunacy, regardless of their role in this war. Very glad to see so many nations helping Ukraine in many ways; they deserve their independence and the whole world knows it!

They are properly trained in the use of their equipment so that they can learn how to survive and gain experience in survival. If you dont have proper triaining like the Russians you wont be able to survive long enough to learn how to survive which is a big problm of theirs. If they actually throw conscripts into the war their initial survival percentage will be low. They will literally be cannon fodder. And the Russians cannot afford this kind of attrition. Its really a replay of WW2. The whole conduct of their campaign is a replay of WW2 and this is an upgraded version of modern war that we first saw in The Gulf war 20 years ago, with the electronic battlefield and smart high tech weaponry. We are beyond that substantially now and the Russians have fallen further and further behind and are paying a huge price. This is result of an inferior economy that cannot produce the weaponry of the modern war. Like a fully integrated electronic battlefield which integrates all arms within it. Land, Sea and Air. The F35 helmet is a direct result of this where the pilot has a 3D view of the battlefield within it. The Russians dont even have air cover yet alone air superiority as the planes are not integreated into the Electronic battlefiled and are flying blind not know what they are flying into. The buttoned up tanks are death traps as the are driving blind. And then the drones. Ukranians have good drones that are integraed into their electronic battlefield and the Russian dont have hardly any and have just been blackmailed by the Iraninans to give them some of theirs. But again, they are mostly on their own. You cant have that today.
@shepardsmith3235
@shepardsmith3235 Жыл бұрын
It is also the result of the Russians spending huge amounts on ultimate weapons like high tech nuclear subs (remember they told us that they would create a nuclear sunami and irradiate our east coast???) , hypersonic missles to deliver nuclear weapons and miniturizing their nuclear deterrent on the battlefield. IE Tach Nukes. We have these too. So they invested in weaponry they cannot use in anything but a worst case scenario. And if they used tac nukes we would too. I am sure there is a huge back channel with the Russian Military to try to prevent Putin from irrationally using tach nuke weapons which he may use in a debacle. This is very serious but not discussed but should be. And toss in the Russian graft siphoning off meny for maintenance etce and you have a disaster.

I don't think there was a bullet in the barrel, no instructor is that stupid even a Russian one. We used to kick against the barrel of a light mitrailleur, to learn the recrutes to have the butt in the right way against their shoulder, then you also was in front of the gun. But their was no minution in the weapon.

Yeah, Russia is flat ass broke and running low on munitions. I have also heard intercepted calls from the recruits complaining that they were given old rusty rifles and told to "find" ammo once they got on site from one of the ammo depots. (the ones HIMARS are blowing the ever loving shit out of)

I’ve seen videos of those drone-dropped VOG’s being used to hunt tanks by dropping the grenades into the open hatches of turrets. Which is fairly impressive to be able to drop that and actually have it land. It’s particularly rude against T-72’s, which keep all of their ammunition *inside the turret* (it seemed like a good idea at the time!), meaning an unlucky hit from a cheap little VOG can potentially destroy the entire tank.

I am a marine combat vet from Viet Nam era. I know we were wrong in our involvement in that conflict. That being said, I am amazed at the lack of small unit cohesion in the Russian army. Any combat vet knows when the rubber meets the road, you fight for your brothers in arms before any cynical political motivation. The US and UK have done a marvelous job instilling small unit discipline in the UK troops. In the ' fog of war: on the battlefield, it is small unit NCOs that instill discipline and cohesion in their troops. The bravest men I fought alongside of were Navy corpsmen who rarely hesitated to risk their lives to save a wounded marine. absolutely the bravest of the.brave. I don't see any of that cohesion and loyalty from any of the Russian troops. And now 300,000 untrained, unwilling conscripts into the meat grinder? Good Luck Pootin.

It’s indicative of the entire culture in Russia. It’s a lot of every man for himself there. Very common for autocratic regimes. Human lives are chess pieces & it was the same in Stalin’s army. Quantity over quality. In a free country, you want the best military minds leading the military. In a dictatorship you want yes men leading the military. Shoigu is the top guy & he never served lmao

The NVA were tenacious warriors and were fighting for a. just cause, just as UK today. But just like today with the russkis they were rarely able to improvise on the battlefield ... they would follow their original battle plan ... hell or high water. That's why we kicked their butts during the TET offensive in '68. I served with Hotel Co, 2nd battalion 4th Marine Regiment, ,3rf Mar Div and did my entire tour within 50 clicks of the DMZ. As a consequence, we were hit quite often with NVA 152 (russki provided) artillery. Believe me,, there is no more shit staining your pants experience than getting caught in the open by artillery fire. I was a squad leader in my platoon and every marine knew his job and what was expected of them if I went down (twice, 2 purple hearts). Unit cohesion on the squad, platoon and company level is of utmost importance during the heat of battle. We have trained the UK NCOs on the importance of this since 2014. Russkis have no cohesion on the battlefield.

I just watched a video by Perun who went into granular detail (as he always does) re: what Poland has done to help Ukraine. I highly recommend his channel if you haven't heard of him. He's an Aussie. Poland has gone WAY beyond everyone else when you compare the percentages of GDP, etc. Poland has been incredibly instrumental to Ukraine's success so far. I didn't realize how important Poland has been in this conflict. Yea, the US has spent enormous amounts of money, and has contributed, but Poland is seriously sacrificed to help their neighbor. I'm impressed.

I don't know if anyone noticed the training officer who adjusted the height of how a recruit was holding his weapon and then literally stepped in front of it. Perhaps it wasn't loaded but you never step in front of any weapon because all it takes is one bullet accidentally left in the chamber to end your life.
