They don't really, because although they're called supermarkets, these are more like convenience stores, which don't exist in the US, meaning there could be 2-3 stores like these within 1 mile radius, it's unheard of in the US.

The Russian Labor Code does not regulate the rules of being at the workplace, i.e. you have to work standing or sitting. This means that it is the employer who sets the rules. The obligation to stand for the entire working day should be written in your job description or in your employment contract , with a justification for the necessity. But there are rules in the Russian Labor Code. Anyone who works standing for more than 60% of their working hours is working in a hazardous work environment. In this case, the employee is entitled to an increase in salary. Those who work standing up for more than 80% of the time are also entitled to additional days off.

That store, (Magnit), is not as neat and organized, as the other stores you’ve previewed. But, the prices are still considerably less than you would pay in the US. In the US the only supermarket where cashiers can sit is Aldi because they are a German company and do not bag the groceries for the customer. Most other US supermarkets bag your items for you. Up until about 20 years ago cashiers always had a designated bagger working with them. Now more often then not the cashier rings and bags everything themselves with only occasional help from a bagger. When I was a bagger as a young teen in the 80s we had to wear a white shirt and tie which was the norm for all supermarkets and many other service jobs. Society was much more customer-service based then.

Wish we had proper butchers here, seems 99.5% of Butchers here are just scams selling the same precut meat as woolies/coles, at inflated prices. I love cold cured British and American bacon as they are not as salty and get get crispy, makes aussie bacon just seem like streaky ham. 3 different butchers couldn't slice me some shoulder or pork belly for bacon as their bacon comes precut and they didnt have the right machine. @@ericyost5287 Chicken is hatching eggs for three weeks in average and they never get bacterias. Egg shell and underlying coating are well designed to withstand both harsh handling and bacterial infections. Eggs in russian supermarkets like this one are no older then 4..6 days most of the times. At least in my town in West Siberia. Every egg box has production date imprinting so people can evaluate its freshness instantly. My previous purchase was 1 day old eggs and i put them to the fridge till next week shopping.

Because in Russia, eggs are not washed or processed before sale. This way they can be stored longer and do not require a refrigerator display case. They are stored in a refrigerated room in the warehouse.

Dude, Russia has just experienced a massive terror attack, people are mourning and not even a word of condolence to the victims? At least once in a while reporting some current news will be important than just the same story. It's getting boring

This is not the right place to talk about this. The Russians are strong and will not be scared by such events. on the contrary, it all strengthens and consolidates the Russians.

I have posted about it on my Telegram Channel for the last 3 days. I have spoken about it over there. I didn't even leave the house for 3 days before filming this. People's KZbin channels have certain niches. And follow a narrative of similar videos.

In stores for the rich, regional products from the same manufacturers. This is 80% of the assortment. But the prices are sometimes 2 times higher. What's the point of overpaying for the same thing? In vanity?
