Some common adjectives have slightly tricky comparative forms - this video covers words like hotter, more expensive, cheaper, younger, shorter, higher, lower...with special attention to those consonant mutations, and where you might have seen them before.

I dont understand. Your channel is one of the best Russian language learning sites. Precise and clear. You should be getting at least 1.3 million subscribers and not 13K.

Спасибо! I've begun setting up edited subtitles for the most-watched videos, which may help with SEO. In the meantime I like to think that while the audience for this channel may not be the biggest in quantity, you are exceptional in quality. :)

As always great and very helpful video. But I have one question regarding this topic, do you know any online dictionary which shows these irregular forms? Because sometimes I need to be 100% certain.

+Dampfkoch kessel I don't know of an online dictionary that has them, but this site lists quite a few: www.alphadictionary.com/rusgrammar/compar.html You might also go to quizlet.com and do a search for 'Russian comparatives' - there are plenty of lists there (with free flashcards, games, etc), and it shows which lists were created by teachers (some others may have typing errors).

+Dan Spanton Yes, ст > щ is common too: простой - проще, чистый - чище... and you'll see it in verbs too: чистить - я чищу, отомстить - я отомщу, простить - я прощу...
