A lot of Americans actually descend from people fleeing wars in Europe, or other hardships caused by wars like hunger and poverty. My own family came from Germany in the early 1900's, and many other people in my area (mostly Irish or German descendants) have a similar story

Isn’t there a town out there called Moscow which I believe predated that Russian settlement activity? Regarding the fishing and hunting laws, it’s very difficult for some people, who have grown up in a society where laws are only enforced when there is personal benefit to gain, to understand that laws are upheld in America simply for the sake of the laws and society itself, rather than because the enforcing officer or his boss has a political gain to be made.

It'll be interesting to see what impact this war has on Russia's future ability to rebuild its military troop strength numbers with volunteers after all this. @@johnhough4445 We don’t understand everything going on since media only shares a portion of what’s going on and it’s slanted. All countries use propaganda so not one of us will ever know the full truth. Remember when millions of native Chinese left China right before the CCP locked down several cities? Western media didn’t say anything until a month later and then said they were used to bring Covid to western countries. So, if Russians fleeing Russia and going to places like Alaska (where Russia used to own Alaska) due to being afraid of being drafted, could Putin be using these actions to “place” Russians in particular areas for invasion of western countries?

@@dabrams84 It is politically incorrect and will offend a lot of people but the truth remains that the current all-volunteer military attracts a small number of people joining as a career due to personal preference, the majority join because it is the best job their credentials can afford them and to get them out of poverty. That shows clearly during 2003 to 2005 when the Iraq war was in the bloodiest stage the Army could not meet the recruit quota to fill the empty slots. In Russia today the conscripts are drawn heavily among poverty stricken ethnic population in the east while well connected young Russian males in Moscow and St. Peterburg are spared.

A Russian soldier ran up to a nun. Out of breath, he asked, “Please, may I hide under your skirt, I'll explain later.” The nun agreed. A moment later two military police ran up and asked: “Sister, have you seen a soldier?” The nun replied, “He went that way.” After the military police ran off, the soldier crawled out from under her skirt and said, “I can't thank you enough, Sister. You see, I don't want to go to Ukraine.” The nun said, “I understand completely.” The soldier added, “I hope I'm not rude, but you have a great pair of legs!” The nun replied, “If you had looked a little higher, you would've seen a great pair of balls too. Illegal aliens. Immigrants are legal by definition. And they did not sneak in, they openly announced they had come in. Quite ready to be dealt with by our local authorities. Of course, they could see they would likely be accepted, given the situation. Still, better than getting sent to the meat grinder, even with the boat ride in some tough seas.

Finland’s border authority has been monitoring the traffic, and stated on Thursday that the increase of traffic at the Finnish-Russian border has been comparable to typical weekend traffic. Clearly you don’t do any research before commenting… Wake up and stop following the government propaganda news channels (yes, even CNN/CNBC/Fox. The American Propaganda News channels, don’t believe everything they say, they have political agendas to shift your views on events) 2 Russians immigrated from Russia to Alaska, it’s not an exodus like CNN wants you to think. Tons of people aren’t immigrating because of the war, maybe only 2 have done so. (How many people immigrated out of the USA when Trump was elected?😂 {more than just 2}) Also, if we’re going to mention border crossings, do *YOU* know how many illegal immigrants crossed the borders of Texas and Florida in the past year alone?
